Dunlop 10 - 46 are my favorite. I used Ernie Ball for 15+ years; I switched between sets occasionally but eventually settled on Super Slinkies. I saw the Dunlops on sale at GC and on a whim picked up a set and haven't looked back. I greatly prefer these strings over the Ernie Balls. The Dunlops are nice and smooth, and last me about twice as long per set than I was ever able to accomplish with Ernie Balls. I always used Dunlop picks, and now I'm sold on the strings too.

D'Addario XL 9's on the Strat and Tele, D'Addario XL 10's on the G&L F-100.

I'm curious to try the Dunlops, though.

I started with Ernie Ball 10's. Went to the 9's to practice better bending. Now using some D'Addario because they were on sale on day and I love them. I will probably start switching between the 2 brands every change.

DR Tite-Fit Medium Heavy 10-50.

http://www.drstrings.com/catalog/tite-fit

The little E, B, G are like a lighter set ending with a 46 on the E. I think the three heavier wound strings make the chords sound better. :)

You should give them a try. At 5 bucks a set, you can't go wrong. They really are some nice strings.

Yup. I love 'em. They sound great, feel like silk and play softer to the touch than D'Addarios. IMHO

+1

I buy them in bulk at GC. They work well with my Strats and my Les Pauls, lasting typically two to three months.

I don't really have a brand preference on strings. I just purchase whatever it is that is on sale at Guitar Center. Currently, I just purchased 6 packs for Dunlop 10s for $19.99 with my GC string club card, I get $5.00 off that, $14.99.
