Any band that plays Polka music...

Seriously...WTF? Accordions AND Tubas? At the same time?

It's got to have something to do with beer, but I still don't get it.

Isn't it interesting that you can't understand a word Ozzy Osbourne says when he speaks normally? However, when he sings you can make out every single word. As far as metal goes, he is likely the most understandable singer ever, by far. Ironic...

I never really got Grunge; I mean what the F__K are you so depressed about any way.(Nirvana) comes to mind.
I don’t get Punk, It seems more about rebellion than music.
And I sure as hell don’t get Rap music… people dig it and buy the records and that’s cool for the artists; but from whatever planet I’m on, I don’t get it at all, for my tastes it’s a waste of time and effort… If I want rhyming I’ll read a Dr Seuss book..

I'm with you on Grunge. It's like EMO all grown up.

I always had a hard time trying to get into Nirvana. I understand that a lot of people felt a deep connection to Kurt Cobain's music, and I do think Nirvana did a few decent songs. For the most part though, I thought the music is just too depressing and nihilistic. I listen to music to be uplifted, not to get bummed out....

don't most non-rap songs rhyme?

its hard to give an answer to this, but i guess i'd go with emo as my response. cant narrow down to a certain band. emo music is like TOO depressed, almost in a fake and fabricated way. i highly doubt their lives were as terrible as they make it seem. and maybe they were, i dont know, but just deal with it instead of crying in a corner and dressing all weird. life ain't gonna get better by just sulking over everything in your life that strokes your fur the wrong way. grow the f**k up and move on.

the funny thing is that people who listen to emo listen because it relates to them somehow. but, if you're that depressed, wouldn't you want to listen to music that makes you feel better, like upbeat and all? i dunno, maybe its just me. depressing music just makes me more depressed and want to die. seems counter-productive

Any death metal.

Any rap.

While it is easy for this mind to relate surf to classical to blues to pop to folk to British Invasion to country to Motown to salsa to jazz to world, the above forms make utterly no sense, here.
