Went last night to see Bruce - Show was decent, it was cool seeing Bruce, he puts on a great show, however, the experience itself kinda sucked - So my gf and I have vented to each other about it all day coming home, so figured id share my thoughts here to see if any of you have had the same experiences...

I have never in my life seen so many drunken morons!! We got there early, stood in line, got in, the show was supposed to start at 7:30, he didnt come out until about 8:30 or so - the place was sold out - drunk a$$holes staggering around everywhere, slamming into other people, spilling beer, it was rediculous!! I felt more like a bouncer keeping the people around me safe from the drunken stupid f**ks that was hopping around slamming into small women, practically knocking them down - it was really pathetic actually - One guy came falling through the crown, literally knocked 2 ladies to the floor, had no idea where he was, completely incoherent - We ended up leaving the section we were in and moving completely to the back of the floor section to avoid this mess - and eventually just leaving all together - 100 bucks a ticket, and we only stayed for about an hour and a half of the actual show

Dont get me wrong, I dont mind people out enjoying themselves and im all about having a good time - However, if you are going to drink, be responsible and dont ruin everyone elses time with your lack of courtesty and self-control - This same scenerio happened last year at a Keith Urban show - the people around us were so drunk and disorderly that we eventually just left - its just not worth it to deal with that crap!! I doubt very seriouslly if I waste my money attending any more "big" concerts. Ill stick to the smaller shows! They are usually much more enjoyable anyway!!

Kinda reminds me of last years Regatta with Blues Traveler playing. Although I was standing on a sandbag so I could see better and ignore the idiots

I saw Springsteen last year. Awesome show, probably about 3 hours long. The sound wasn't that great, and individual instruments were a bit difficult to decipher, but the energy was there, and great songs through bad speakers are still great songs.

Didn't have to deal with any drunks, either.

I got tired of dealing with the idiots who ruin the concert experience, especially considering the total cost for two to attend a concert. So, I put in a relatively low budget, do-it-yourself home theater setup and now, for the most part, I watch concert DVDs there instead of going to live shows.. 5.1 surround sound, 110 inch screen, Blu-Ray player... and no idiots in my way or otherwise ruining my concert experience.. best seat in the house!

Hey Mike - I got very few pictures, wish I had taken more - Bruce mostly used his natural tele - Didnt get any good pics of Little Steven - Nil's was using a brown looking strat a lot, it had sparkle on it, im not sure what it was at all - he was impressive though!! - We were more consumed in not getting covered by the staggering drunks $8 beers making their way through the crowd, or getting knocked into - Seeing Bruce was cool though - Clarence was awesome (of course) - Max didnt come out until about an hour into the show

I'm with you...a little off the subject but I took my boys to a Pirates game at beautiful PNC Park in Pittsburgh. I was embarrassed by the drunk idiots and and the obsession with the F word in conversation. It amounts to a complete lack of respect for people around you. I'm trying to instill the importance of manners and respect of others to my kids, but it's tough with the preponderance of morons at sporting events/concerts.

Yea, its sad man! This society we live in is pathetic! There were a lot of people there that brought their little kids, probably wanted to share the experience of seeing a rock legend with their kids no doubt, and they had to be exposed to that nonsense

Would ticket sales go down if they didnt sell beer? Who knows - I have several friends that cant even play a damn game of scrabble unless beer is involved

I seem to recall going to many a concerts back in the 70's and being some what smoked and other things and there being some wild times back then. I guess now that were older we look at it differently. I would not even tell my kids some of the things I did. Like slepping in tents for days outside at general admission shows and there were some wild parties then some I don't remember to clear but they were FUN! All you old Guys and Gals have to admit some of those Zep, Dead and Stone shows where ripe with a lot more then drunks. Man I had some Fun in the 70's. If you watch the 70's show on TV that sitting in the circle part is true!!!!!

His "gear list" in Premiere Guitar Mag lists a '66 natural finish Strat?
