bought a digitech RP50 multi effects pedal a couple of weeks ago... tried to like it, but found it not very practical, so i traded it in for a cry baby last week.... now i'm finding out how some of my favorite guitar players get that piercing tone that cuts right through. YEAH BABY!!

i was told at the store that for another 10 bucks the vox pedal was better... but i went with the crybaby "just becuz".
it's taking awhile to figure out where to put it in the effects chain. the package suggests hendrix's setup which was fuzz - wah - amp. my setup right now is telecaster - fuzz - overdrive - wah - delay/echo - amp.
seems to be working ok, but sometimes the transition into the wah effect is drastic... a little to strong.
any suggestions on switching anything around?

It's hard to imagine a time when there weren't wah-wah pedals.

But they were only invented a little more than 40 years ago, just in time for Eric Clapton in Cream and Jimi Hendrix and Millions of Followers!
