Currently, my favorite albums (barring Greatest Hits Albums) include:

1. Igor Stravinsky. The Rite of Spring. Pure primordial, hard-hitting, grunge classical. Massive beat, great poly-chords--disturbing musical genius. I would love to transcribe this for a prog-rock group. Hard to believe this piece was 1st performed in 1911 in Paris--and it caused a riot!!!

2. Led Zeppelin IV. Stairway to Heaven, Four Sticks, Rock-n-Roll, Black Dog. A rock and roll course unto itself.

3. Jeff Beck. You Had It Coming. Industrial, minimalistic, heavy, great tone, great beats.

4. Crystal Method. Vegas. I think techno has a-lot to offer. There are gems of musical goodness us guitarists could mine from this very non-guitar style music.

5. Stevie Ray Vaughn. Greatest Hits. OK, I broke my own limitation, but I couldn't pick just one album.
