I've had to in the past. I lost 2 guitars that way. I refuse to pawn again if I can help it. But some times you have to do what you have to do.

Glad your geting your stuff back.

A cousin pawned a guitar I had lent him, and lost it. I didn't find out til way way later. Wasn't a great guitar by any means, but I hate parting with any guitars. funny because I tend to keep the axes, but I have only held onto 2 amplifiers. Sell those with no regrets at all.

It's funny because I don't get as attached to my amplifers as my guitars either. I do really like my PEAVEY VALVEKING VK112. It is a complete tube amp with a real spring reverb and alot of extras like an advanced presence button on the back panel where you can actualy set how much or how "hot" that each tube runs, it also has a footswitch that conntrols, clean or distortion, increases volume for lead work and a couple other things with only two buttons. The footswitch is very versatle depending on what buttons you preset on the amp. It also is only about $400 so it is pretty inexpensive for an amp of that quality.

Congrats to you! I've been in that situation (a life at stake-mine) and had to part ways with some gear that I wish I still had.

I'm doing okay though, I have what I need...so far.
