I'm sitting back watching the game with a good cup of coffee, after dinner.

Just watched the 49ers run over Green Bay to win the spot for the Super Bowl.

Congrats SF and Kansas City.

I'm checking email and all of that stuff. I'm hoping we'll do some jamming tonight, but I'm not sure what's going on yet. I do need to get some stuff at the store, though.

Not that we always have the fridge and big freezer filled up to the hilt all the time; but, they are at this moment.

I have four Supermarkets in the neighbourhood plus an Italian mall/wine store within walking distance and Costco 15 minutes away. So, I’ve begun a mission with the high price of food these days. Buy on sale when you see it, if you can. and not when you decide to go shopping, because you may miss out on what you want. Also, it’s a good practice with unforeseen weather conditions at this time of year.

The cool thing is we try new things like a variety of brands of Pad Thai, Butter Chicken, different ribs, seafood, onion soups, stuffed chicken, and much more fun stuff. Then we make a typical grocery trip for veggies, dairy, and bread etc. I found we might save or spend a little more at times, and most times it’ll average out. Shopping is less tedious and eating is a whole lot more fun. Keeping the weight down comes with walking in the aisles
Okay. That was the preface. Yesterday was the coldest day of the year and, without need for grocery shopping, I had to go to the store to get bottled water. It was frrrrreeeezing out. Alone, I didn’t shop. Ice cream was on sale, however. Somehow it arrived safely at home. Go figure.

When you go to Costco, you have to make sure you stock up on those gallon cans of ketchup and mayonnaise, because you never can have enough of those. :P

Making up my schedule for today for what I need to buy, and at what stores I'm going to.

 Thanks, Paul. It’s now on the list. :D
And don’t forget to check out the munchies and candy aisle. There’s lots of nuts at Costco, and most of them, myself included, will buy anything being handed out for sampling. Tastes good at the store, but after a third or fourth tasting at home you’ll wonder why you bought it. :P

Snow plow came by and now I have blocks of ice piled in front of my walkway, haven’t checked the alley yet. So off I go to shovel snow. Phhht!

The funny thing is I haven't been in a Costco probably since 2003 or 2004. There isn't one anywhere that I live.

Actually, it’s been awhile for us too, We have pretty much everything we need close by. There's lots to like at Costco, but the opposite is true too. I needed a horizontal shed and a membership renewal. They had a good one at a decent price, and it’s one of those things where it doesn’t matter if they carry it for long like some of their here today gone tomorrow products especially when you’ve taken a liking to them.
When Costco first arrived, we lived on the coast and we traveled 68 miles / 109 km one way just to load up the car . . . mostly with gigantic cinnamon buns. I could work them off back then.

I don't remember if it was Costco, or Sam's Club, but I remember going in there many years ago with my parents and they had cases of muffins that you could get at their bakery that we'd used to get. They had chocolate with chocolate chip, blueberry, and corn that I remember we got. They probably had others, but those were the ones we usually got. It was 24 in a case, and they were pretty huge. They didn't last too long around the house, though. :P

I'm hoping we'll do some jamming with bass and drums today, but it's up to my girlfriend. I have a new music idea I've been kicking around that I came up with when I was watching a movie, and I want to see how it would gel, if at all.

That’s always great to get motivation and run with it, Paul. You won’t want that motivation to be put aside for long as it sometimes fades to where it may not be recovered with the same impact.

Sorta like my iPhone idea collections of hums and piece mealed lyrics, I did record a jazzy raw incomplete demo on the phone with my less than beautiful vocal chords yesterday, and then I ran to the keyboards to tinker without knowing Mrs. FSB recorded it on her iPad. It was just in the idea form and kinda like a rat pack smaltzy love song, but the motivation was there and the mood, so the keyboard came out to the best of my self taught abilities, and maybe the guitar will too just for fun. I’ll have to regroup though with a John Lee Hooker “I’m In.The Mood” vibe.

Hmm. If I put on platform shoes will it get me in a Saturday Night Live mood?

How about a scarf on my waist? Steven Tyler? Scarf on the head? Jimi? Sliver sunglasses? Elvis? My shirt off? Mick? A fedora? Neil Young? A mop on my noggin? Ringo? I know. How about a toque?

FSB

Betcha thought it was me and the toque. Nope! Monkees’ Michael Nesmith. :P
