I'm about ready to head out to the bank before it closes at 1:00 PM here.

I am drinking a Heineken Light munching on Planters peanuts and have the Nats vs. STL baseball game on the tv. here in my Home office.

Cool choice! I drink Jack Daniels with Coke and watch Bohemian Rhapsody now...

I was just getting a bit lost in thought, as I watch the trees blowing in the wind. We're getting a bit of wind out of the east, at 21 mph.

Thanks, for the reminder, Paul. Now I’m thinking (Uh oh).

I could probably hammer a potato to the wall and sell it when it rots. It’ll be more colourful then and in demand. :P Aha! That banana. I totally get it now. Brilliant.

I’m thinking there might be a place for potato head and banana toques for the 2020 lineup.

Yeah, and the stench of rotting potatoes has such an aromatic bouquet to it, too. :P

I jammed on the bass, while my girlfriend played the Roland drums for a while, then we got some Chinese for dinner.

Compare this time last week at Winnipeg’s high temp being - 19°C / - 2.2° F without the windchill. Today it reached a snow melting temperature with a high of 2.2° C / 28° F (windchill aside).

- 2.2° F last Saturday and 2.2°C high temp this Saturday. Well, that’s pretty cool 8) Yet, it was warm enough that I replaced the foam rubber insulation tubing on the A/C without ffffreezing my fingies. Of course, those toasty down south might not know or need what that is.

We like everything outside bundled up for sub zero weather. :P

Man, I thought it's been was cold here. :P Actually, it has been that cold here, but it's certainly unusual for us to get this kind of weather this early. Usually that happens more into January and February. I just hope we don't get any blizzards this year, and I'll be OK with that, freezing temperatures, or not. That's when things can get really nasty.

The cool thing about living in ultra cold weather is that it tricks you into thinking you are warm when you’ve recently been used and abused in the fast frozen environment, and when the thermometer rises even a few degrees. That’s what we call nice weather.

A snowstorm is of concern only when it lasts for more than a day. Otherwise it’s a just another PITA snowfall with blowing wind. The rule of thumb should be to stay home when the first big snowfall hits. That way the newbies can get their demolition derby over with before you enter the event. Oh, and the smart pedestrian will avoid crossing the road ‘.

I know it’s been a brutal winter challenge elsewhere this year. When I lived on temperate Vancouver Island I used to point to Washington’s Cascade mountains across the Strait of Juan de Fuca and tell my friends and relatives from the mainland that snow on the mountain tops is where we keep our snow and that is where white powder belongs. The bulk of it is on Mount Baker. :P
When I moved to the ‘Peg I’d be freezing my nose and ears off when I was amazed to see that the opposite sex wore nylons and mini skirts outdoors because they had to look good in the frozen Tundra. I looked fashionable with West Coast attire and was gifted with mild frostbite before I became climate trained with layers and a toque. Now I bundle up like a Bedouin on a camel in the Sahara. Kinda has a vibe all it’s own. :P
Fortunately, Christmas is supposed to have nice weather (a change from the past few start and scrape your car early and often years) which will allow me to clean up with swag because we are invited out. I’ll keep that toque in the glove box for emergency though.
Stay Christmas cozy, and have a great one.

Going to go for a long walk, then watch some films, and put in some bass time.

I finished tabbing my slightly altered version of Silent Night including the lyrics, in Guitar Pro. Then, I sent it to Ultimate Guitar Tabs for approval and hopefully it will get published on the site.

I know what you mean. It was 42 degrees today, and I thought that was nice weather. Living in Florida all of those years that I did, I'd never imagine that I'd think 42 would in any way be considered "warm." :P

Good luck with this, Marky. I’m pulling for ya. Keep dangling until they bite.

Today I went to get some Christmas shopping done. The usual. Card, present, wine including sparkling for OJ on Christmas morning, mandarin oranges, flowers, and a turkey for later.

Went to the car and, while driving in the mall parking lot, a large sheet of ice came sliding down the roof blocking all view. I stopped and hit the windshield wipers which worked somewhat, and a second sheet blocked the view again. Again I hit the windshield wipers only the ice compacted as I pulled off into a nearby parking space and cleared the thick stuff with my hands. I have a habit of clearing the roof when necessary, dealt with snowstorms including in the mountains where your car can ice up and your choices are few, and I have never experienced this. There can be a thin belligerent layer after a brush off, and it wasn’t a lot when I started, and any minor remaining amount usually blows off or melts. It melted alright. Today was 39°F / 4°C. Look at that, Paul. Almost as warm as you :P

After thought made me realize driving on the road could have had a different ending,
