I'm going for a walk, then going to the store later. I'm also doing a bunch of laundry.

Have to see a doc at 11am. I have a dang sinus/ear infection again. That's the third time this year. I've already had five sinus surgeries and I don't want another.

On the happy side, my ME-80 is out for delivery and I'm super excited. :D

Hey there, Marky, sorry to see you have sinus and ear infection problems. I hope you’ll feel better soon.

I can relate. I use to have terrible sinus problems, so much so that surgery was discussed, but I found that, at least for me, it was like knee surgery. A large amount of unhappy customers with returns even though temporary relief was obvious and alternatives aren’t always the better choice. YMMV

I preservered until it took some years of severe pain and migraines, but I toughed it out (It wasn’t much different than a nose job and head pounding in and after the ring when I boxed for recreation. I must have been weird because it sometimes, but not often haha haha , gave a rush). I’m glad I did hold out, because in this predominantly dry land my major sinus pain eventually cleared up. I did find a good solution though just prior to relief. I moved to the coast before my sinus issues left me. I also find that even a short trip to the mountains help to make my nose drip. Must be like the ears popping.

Can’t bring the mountains here though, so yesterday I ordered an estimate for a whole house humidifier (comes with a plastic washable filter instead of a gunky replaceable one that I got rid of years ago). I don’t like humidifiers and their downsides, but it’s the lesser of two evils with the building, hard wood floors, furniture, instruments, dust, static electricity, congestion, and whatnot. Might be a help with sinus too, Marky.

The upside, humidifiers can always be turned off.

I'm glad you figured out your sinus problems, Gary. It sure can be miserable.

I just got home from my doctor and I have sinus and ear infections plus mild pneumonia. She prescribed a strong antibiotic for an extended time. I've had five sinus surgeries with a long history of problems. But, this too shall pass.

I'm supposed to get lots of rest but it's not going to stop me from playing with my ME-80, when it arrives! :D

Take care with that pneumonia, Marky and follow the Doc’s orders. Rest is a very key thing for complete recovery. Give those lungs a break so they can heal; but, I’m sure you know that.

You can always snuggle up to the ME-80 before or after you rock out with it.:P

Checking email and social media stuff. I'm not really sure what I'm doing today, whether I'm going for a walk, or not.

Thank you, Paul! I should be much better once the antibiotic kicks in.

Thanks, Gary! The ME-80 is here and I sat with it on my lap for awhile to get acquainted.

I hope to give the ME-80 a try later.

Thanks for the photo. That ME-80 looks great, Marky. Nice that you have the axes to give it a great workout. Don’t forget to showcase it on your World Tour after you get over that crappy bout of pneumonia. :P
I’m checking out measurements and making comparisons for new LED security lights to replace the old halogen ones. Not a lot of fun changing floodlights in a hard to reach secure place, especially when it gets icey cold outside.

Right now there’s little to no snow so I’m hoping to get it done before the next snowfall makes it harder, Certainly not as much fun as vari lights for which I have a relative that can operate those babies and much more,

If it seems like guitar and music has taken a hiatus with me. That’s true in some small way with my have to dos. But, I’m like a grain farmer. Work hard now, play a lot later as winter sets in. :P Meanwhile, I’m always looking at some music related stuff that I’ve had my eye on. Catalogues are showing up at the mailbox, Maybe, I’ll find a 2 or 3 guitar switching pedal that will catch my eye, a simple iOS interface just for phone and iPad, replacement computer audio monitors, that long awaited laptop (maybe adding fully loaded DAW software), a multi track digital mixer or multi track digital mixer/recorder and, perhaps a new guitar and/or bass. The right used guitar or bass would work too; but, only if they present themselves so I can put my mitts on them. I will also be looking at a small very portable amp to use upstairs and for the yard. That’s my later birthday and Santa wish list for the year, but I know next month there’s Black Friday and Cyber Black Friday, and a slew of deals throughout the upcoming holidays. Who knows what may show up? I bought most of my mic and guitar cables during a Black Friday as well as my drum mics. That collection was a great savings. This time I may need a truck or a simple bag, which reminds me I’m ready to buy humidipaks.

I think I'll be taking a walk in about an hour or so, then I'll have to go to the store for a few things.

Keeping an eye on a low pressure system(30% chance of development) in the SW GOM and a cold front converging. I prefer the cold front winning out this time of year. The front is supposed to deliver overnight temps 25-30 colder(around 44) than today(75) and the other is gonna deliver some decent rain chances.

Got another dental appt. on Friday afternoon to install a porcelain crown, then just one more appt. to fill a few small cavities and I'll be done for a while. The extraction healing is still going to take a month or so to completely close up and then I will be able to enjoy eating again fully.

Been practicing a little, mostly w/ the acoustic but occasionally w/ an electric. The better the practice goes the longer I end up playing, sometimes a few hours at a time. Need to upgrade to a better nut on my LP-kit build, will probably order something this weekend.
