What about the new Apple, Google, or Amazon TV amongst others’ rumours?
Missed this the first reply,
The Samsung 7100 has those apps built in, I purchased the smallest size 43" so the voice remote isn't included in this size. The remote does have dedicated buttons for the above apps, but I don't use any of those services. It's kinda PITA because you cannot disable those button functions and they are precariously/strategically placed where it is possible to fat finger them. It seems the bigger the screen size the more options are available. The first thing I really noticed was the weight difference between the old plasma@74lbs and the smart tv@22lbs.

I got in 4 hours of playing/practice yesterday! My tremor was behaving so it was a good time.

Glad things are working out for ya Marky!

Dropping bids. Almost finished, maybe one or two more. Then wait and see what shakes out!
Bidding in the hopes the rest of my dental work is also @ a discount to the quotes they gave me.
Saving 1500 bucks may win me a bid or two.
Maybe foolish but there is always the mattress money, YOLO.

Thank you, my friend!

We're waiting for a pizza delivery and we'll watch a movie while eating.

Checking email, and hopefully be able to go for a walk later, since I didn't yesterday.

You've been doing great with your walking, Paul. Have you been keeping your weight down?

I'm going to get in some Strat time this morning and then take my son to one of his doctors this afternoon. He's doing pretty well and this visit is just a follow up. :)

I'm doing OK with it. I really haven't lost much more, but I haven't gained any back, either. I also haven't been able to walk as much as I did when other than one or two days a week, when I'll go for 2 hours/6 miles, weather permitting. Besides that, I've only been able to go out for less time during the week, for various reasons, but at least I get those one or two days where I can. That's good to hear your son is doing well.

I'm checking email and forum stuff. I think it's supposed to rain tonight, so I don't know if I'm going to be able to go out for a walk, or not.

We just got home from running some errands and we'll be going out to dinner in about an hour.

I'm checking email and forum stuff, then I'll take care of some domestic crap that need to be done, and I have to go to the store later and maybe get a walk in, if possible.

Chillin', finally. I've been up since 5am doing chores, paperwork, paying bills and running errands. Now I'm pooped so it's time for a nap. :)

I finally finished that horizontal shed with preparation for winter after today’s rainfall and colder weather. Everything went well, until I learned a lesson to not put my hand on the top of the doors with the heavy roof tilted back and open (I was tightening final screws). The roof struts work better when it’s open at least 3/4 of the way. 1/2 way and not using the door handles runs a risk of losing one’s fingers. With my last step in the build, the top slammed down sharply on my left fingers just above three mid knuckles causing a small annoying cut, and likely bruise in the morning thanks to meds. It’s not too bad now; but, Mrs. FSB has been informed so that’s a good thing.

So, now I’ve time for a little backtracking and catch up here.

Went w/ a cheaper Samsung 7100, that so far has meet or exceeded expectations w/ only one issue. It uses ARC and when connected w/ my AV reciever I somehow loose my radio tuner function. Gotta figure that out for sure Hope that worked out for you. It’s always an adventure to discover those unknown annoyances, and great when and if a solution is found. but at least its nice to have access to the internet/youtube.You betcha. I also looked at the apps that the newer Samsung TVs have, and they’re really packed so there looks to be plenty to satisfy, and I found my Amazon Prime (and similar) will connect wirelessly with their app. Very cool. Looks like you got a great grab sfceric64. I also heard a report that said Samsung declared they’d never charge for their apps. They didn't say if they’d pay for the others though.

I have three smart TV's and one is a first generation. I think that one is actually pretty dumb. :) When watching YT videos on it, it freezes after about ten minutes and we have to shut it off and turn it back on. Otherwise, it's ok and the other ones are fine. That’s good to know, Marky. I have a 6 year old 40” Philips in the Master bedroom. YT also reacts the same way. Not only does it freeze, it is often is difficult to turn the app or TV off when YT freezes. With my recent trip I brought my Mom’s 3 year old 32” version of the same TV home. It will be interesting to see if there are improvements.

That aside, you and your son have had a rough go lately. Hope this finds you and your son doing better. Marky. Good to know you’re planning a trip to the coast. You deserve a break my friend. :D

I went off the program a bit on my west coast journey, Not too bad though, 3 pounds. I’m cheating here at home a bit right now as entertaining and wrapping up BBQ season are playing their part before we hibernate. I’ll add a few more pounds wearing the toque so I better get into shape and get back to tomato and cheese sammies (my secret healthy weapon of choice).

Well I'm sure glad you have all of your fingers still attached, Gary! That's a lesson learned about your new shed.

If Mrs. FSB says you're ok, then you're ok. I have absolute faith in her judgement. Hey, she picked you, right? :) Good luck with YT on your new TV. Those freezes are annoying and the newer one shouldn't have them.

Our trip may be postponed a bit but we're ready for it. My son has been doing so much better. Thank you for your kind words, my friend. :)
