Going for a long walk, then maybe a film, and some bass time.

I have some domestic crap to take care of, and I have to go to the store later. I'm not sure if I'm going for a walk or not.

Just got home from a ride in the desert with my son driving the Mustang. After being in the hospital for 9 days he had some built up energy to burn. I won't mention the speeds but I can say that I think he pulled close to 1G taking some corners.

Great to see the good news about your son, Marky.

Caught Farm Aid on XM when it wasn’t fading out in the Rockies on our road trip. We listened to Sheryl Crow, John Cougar, and Neil Young whose performance was sporadically and momentarily interrupted by some other radio interference for some reason along with dropout reception. Still there was plenty to enjoy.

Mellencamp rocked. Those drums had Mrs. FSB and I digging every twist and turn of the mountain highway. The show is always good; but, this one definitely did not disappoint, and I said to my better half that I’d like to have seen it live. JCM is on our list of concerts. Thanks, for the Farm Aid thread and JCM’s link, Mike.

That said, after 1100 driven miles in two days and 426 miles leading up to it, I managed to get home to the ‘Peg from the west coast; but, not without my cousin taking us for tasting offerings from the Okanagan wine country including being allowed to help ourselves to juicy concord grapes on the vine from one of the many neighbouring estates. :D

I'm not sure, other than checking the forum and other email.

I was just looking at calendar, and reflecting on today being the first full day of Autumn. How fast the year 2019 seems to be moving along.

Summer seemed to have went by pretty fast this year, at least up around here it did. I know it still stays pretty hot down there.

Here too. Next week it’ll be highs in the 40s (single digit Celsius). Compare that with 80s (mid 20s C) a week ago. Yesterday, I found myself in Saskatchewan having a seasonal pumpkin latte and a pumpkin donut picked up at Tim Horton’s on the road when I heard the radio jocks mention it was the first day of Fall. Then I thought I better put the pedal to the metal before it snows back home. When I arrived there was no snow. Christmas stuff was in the stores, and the leaves covered the lawn while I was away. Yup! Time to get ready for hibernation. Phtt! :P

We used to have Tim Horton's around here, but they closed down and Dunkin' Donuts took their place. Pretty soon we'll be breaking out the toques. :P

Freaky thing happened. Just did your quote and about to write here, and a Tim Horton’s commercial began. Tim’s is nothing like the original. Family sold it, Wendy’s bought it, Burger King had it last I heard. Could be the reason for the move. Timmy’s are everywhere here. Probably more than any other franchise. Dunkin’ Donuts will fill the growlers though.
It’ll be good to get back in the toque groove as soon as the Fall rain stops, Paul. :P
I’m thinking we should build some wireless speakers into the next model.

I think there might still be Tim Horton's in the rest of the state, or at least in Massachusetts, I'm not sure. I think I've might have been to one maybe once or twice. If I get coffee out, I usually go to Cumberland Farms, which is a local convenience store/gas station chain that has a big self serve counter with all kinds of stuff, and it's $0.99 any size cup. Once in a while we might stop by a Dunkin' Donuts, but on the rare occasion I might get an actual donut, there's a local shop that makes them that are really good that opened up a year or two ago. Now, they also make other things, like various sandwiches and stuff like that, so they've expanded and are doing pretty well.

Yeah, toques don't do well in the rain. :P Wireless speakers wouldn't be a bad idea, though.

Having a bad day / good day.

Before I took off to the west I had started to assemble a horizontal storage shed. Got it half built. Self tapping screws didn’t work even with a powerful drill, nor did a pilot hole which wasn’t there, nor could my variety of bits drill into the plastic and metal. That meant leaving the rest of the project under tarp and torrential rain to complete on my return. After a visit to see how Costco assembled theirs. the sheds were gone, and I was told an unknown firm does all the assemblies so no answer was readily available. I took another stab at it and no success.

I then went to the local hardware store down the street and asked for the hardest drill bit I could get.

When I returned I found someone tried to jimmy my latch to the back gate. It’s damaged but unsuccessful. Likely the same morons that broke into my neighbour’s yard to slash tires, and knock hinges off his neighbour’s shed. All on Tuesday night. :?
I came home with a cobalt drill bit in hand and did my thing with the problem shed. Whoo hoo! No stopping me now! Problem solved. The other half will surely get built now. :D Maybe I’ll lock the culprit in it if I catch him.

If only I could Rube Goldberg a dye bag like the banks use. Hmmm. I figured out one project, maybe I can come up with this one.
