It’s now said they’re onto an early stage preventative cure. Wouldn’t that be great, Marky?

Thanks, again.

Best
Gary

It sure would be, Gary. My mom lived 95 years and also had dementia. Hers came on gradually and lasted for about two years. It's a sad way to end a marvelous life and a preventative cure would be amazing.

Have a safe trip and my prayers are with you and your mom.

I have nothing planned for today so it will be R&R. :)
Wow! 95 seems like an average age of longevity for the ladies these days. I’ve heard that it’s possible for some folks to reach close to 120 if you follow the rules, etc. That would likely push the aches and pains I figure. Maybe, Keef will break the record. It’s amazing how some entertainers can keep it together on the road.

R&R sounds like a great idea. Is that Rock and Roll or rest and relaxation? Either way, enjoy it all, Marky.

Thank you, for your kind words fellas. Looks like instead of a visit it will be a goodbye as Mom moved on around 3am this morning. Strange that it coincided with what would have been my father’s birthday yesterday.

Doing some laundry (actually, a lot of laundry,) and going for a walk before dawn, and the mosquitoes come out. Then I'll be going to the grocery store when that opens.

Finishing up doing laundry, and planning on going for a walk. I'm not sure what else is on the agenda for today, other than that.

Some domestic crap around the house, and I'll have to go out later to run some errands. I think it's going to rain, so I probably won't be able to go for a walk today.

I'm waiting for a grocery delivery and trying to keep my eyes open. My son is in the hospital, doing ok, so I had both dogs in my room last night. That's about 185 pounds of German Shepherd on my bed with me. I have a king size bed but man, I think they got more sleep than I did.

I was just checking out the 8:00 PM advisory on, POTENTIAL TROPICAL CYCLONE NINE. And the hits just keep on coming! Maybe, who knows. Image

I always look for the moon when I come to Vancouver. I used to joke with my mom that you couldn’t see it because of mountains and skyscrapers. Actually, there was a touch of truth to that in some locations. It likes to hang around throughout the better part of the day over the flatland of the prairies. :P
Thanks, for the heads up Mike.

Just tuned in to this terrible news, checked out the latest and found about 2 to 3 inches of rain predicted for Barbados beginning today and similar for Florida later on.

Kinda reminds me of that old idiom, ”It never rains, but it pours”.

Let’s hope this is the last of it for some time. I have a sad heart for family right now; but, there’s still room for others still picking up their lives and feeling their losses from Dorian.

Just got back from a walk and the grocery store. While out, there were a whole slew of fire trucks, rescue squad vehicles, and police cars speeding down the road. We followed them to where they we going and apparently there was a house fire, which they must have put out rather quickly. and they had the whole block taped off. The strange thing was we were close by, and didn't see or smell any smoke. I think also it must have be arson, with all of the police presence, including some unmarked vehicles. I was able to get close to it, and it looked like the whole inside of the house was burned out, but the outside didn't look too bad. Maybe we'll find out more later in the news.

I finished my weekly chore of cleaning up the backyard and taking the trash bin to the street. Now I'm having some coffee and catching up here. Soon, it will be time for breakfast and some Strat time. :)
