You know, I have no idea at this point. It's a dry day, so maybe go for a walk later. I haven't done that in awhile.

Seems like there is always work to be found when ya retire. Up here, sometimes the four seasons feel like three when spring comes late and winter comes early. Then you get limited by heat and rain as to when or if you can catch up on those need to be’s and want to be’s.

Yesterday I and my buddy went to Costco and, because my large shed is full In the for winter/summer stuff storage, I need some extra room.

Lo and behold there in the aisle ways I found a great deal for a 6.25’ x 3.5’ x 4.3’ horizontal shed. Saved in the neighbourhood of $250. Woo hoo! Why the big deal? The vast majority are found to be about 2-2. 5 feet in depth, and I need 33” plus a little wiggle room, plus I need it to be lower than the fence. Price was a minor concern because these small items can cost as much as a large shed, so that’s a consideration; but, I already have one of those and don’t prefer another. I exhausted my search and discovered only a couple of similar suitable products; however, they were either limited stock as this was, unavailable, terribly built, tough to get service or parts, or difficult to return.

After lugging the package back home, it now sits in the box on some support and is tarped ready for the 3 days of rain, including prairie storms. Then I’ll need to add and level a small foundation. Hopefully, all the parts will be found in good shape when I open the box. I should be ready before snow falls. Oviously, I have too much good junk and yet I’m tossing a lot of it. I’ll probably end up with an empty vinyl box on the foundation.
Good luck kitchen magician.

Going for a long walk, stopping by the store to pick up dinner for tonight, then watch some videos, and put in some bass time.

Dozing off a couple of times while watching the preseason football game. A typical old mans trick, while watching, TV?

I have it mastered, while sitting straight up in a chair, and not killing my neck. Image

I'm not sure yet. Maybe or maybe not go for a walk. I know I do have to go out to get something later for dinner, anyway.

I did wind up going for a walk, then played my Ibanez through the Fender amp for awhile.

Going to go for a walk in a little while, then stop by the store to get a few things. The weather seems to be cooling off around here, so it looks like I'm done with wearing shorts for the year. It seemed like summer has been going by really fast this year.

I know it's about 1,400 miles away from my location, but I'm watching that darn Tropical Storm Dorian in the Caribbean Sea. I don't trust those things a bit.

After finishing here, I'm going to put in some late-night Strat time. 8)

I'm 2200 miles away in a different direction and keeping an eye open, you can never be to sure with mother nature lurking. Expected to become a hurricane Friday morning.

That’s pretty common here, because of our distant time changes with the games across the country, so I’ll start each game with a recording of the same and often they are late back to back games. It’s part of my playbook. Not as bad as living in Montreal or Vancouver, however, and next year it’s expected Halifax with a new CFL team that equals out the amount of teams in their respective division will even out the East West challenge . That oughta be fun viewing
for east and west coasters

I caught the announcement early on and saw a predicted path to your neighbourhood, Glenn should it reach that far. Got my fingers crossed for ya this year as always. Let’s hope they’re using the right data from the newer more accurate satellite this time, if that’s possible. At least any prediction is something of a warning compared to years past.

What a terrible situation for all. I’m guessing the Keys is still feeling the pain for locals and from tourists; but, politics aside, Puerto Rico and other islands down there are FUBAR to the extent that for them the solution is, preparing for the next one, and the next one after that, sad to say. The U.S. is in a bind if they stay or leave for a host of reasons. Awkward.

“Sink or swim” comes to mind with the Atlantic and Mother Nature in a rage. I’m glad we didn’t have those storms on Vancouver Island. We just had
earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanos on our mind which were few and far between aside from the odd rock and roll. As you know, Glenn. It comes with the territory and the territory gets ya addicted to all the good sweetness, huh?

Here we might get snowed in, floods, lightning, hail, damaging winds, tornados, and all that comes with it. :? No biggie. I’d kinda miss all that outa boredom. We’re a little weird around here, as everyone takes it in stride and it’s not uncommon to see smiles, open house, and a reason to party during the havoc as long as the events are not insurmountable. This part of the country is like a boy scout. Always well prepared and experienced with the right tools to do the job. If not, we quickly adapt. I often hear of foolish cost cutting or money transferring that burdens communities that know better. It’s the old wanna have instead of gotta have. Not so much on this side of the border. We often manage without (typical over insured and over taxed Canucks) to prepare for the inevitable. If the hazards don’t show up we have a surplus to play with. Besides, now I get to hear or see our newly installed warnings for tornado alley. Music to my ears. Not necessarily a tune I care for as I’ve rubbed shoulders with FEMA, your army, and a tornado in North Dakota.

Take care, Glenn, and stay safe and dry all with those disturbances. Keep yer toque handy. :P

SURPRISE!!! It became a Hurricane Midday today. It's growing in size, and getting more powerful. The Central pressure is dropping as well. NHC (National Hurricane Center), says it will be Major Hurricane (115 + sustained wind), at land fall, on, or about 8: AM Monday.

With August to October reportedly being the peak season, this means Dorian is on time. I’d like to know how long that August to October peak has been around. I’m guessing for some time. A piece of (Live Science) data I found interesting is (as of last September/2019) Miami’s hurricane occurrence is every 1.97 years. Compare that with Cape Hatteras , North Carolina every 1.36 years or Bermuda every 1.85 years. We could say on the average; but, lately?

No matter how the stats look, a Hurricane is never good.

Stay safe you two.
