You've been getting a lot of rain down there?

Best of luck with the dentist.

When I was a little kid I used to get a carved plaster animal, and a smile. Now I get no toys, but I do get a bill, and a smile, :?

I have to do some domestic crap around the house, but will probably go for a walk later.

Halftime of the game on TV. A good time to grab a Jello.

Didn't go for a walk, but went to a couple of shops and walked around there instead, and got Chinese for dinner. Now, I'm listening to a weekly internet radio show that I listen to on Thursday nights.

I saw the doc yesterday for a year checkup after my ticker got attention on the table. Pretty good, and I lose a med which is always rewarding. So, it was a big day forward.

On the flip side, I was also diagnosed with something (Dupuytren’s) that may affect both hands in the future. My guitars, drums, and keyboard could be in jeopardy along with other matters. Time will tell and, although I presently have some intermittent evidence of it, I’m told I may, hopefully, not get to the worse stage because of my age; although, not guaranteed, it can happen anytime, I’ll have to get to producing some tunes and, perhaps, work on my vocals for future consideration. Boy! That’ll take work. Who knows? Maybe, I’ll be able to ace those chords that having been evading me. I only hope the Strat doesn’t become a wall hanging. Phttt! Looks good up there, though. :P

Just got an idea. Maybe. I’ll be able to play slide guitar as a backup.

Congrats on your ticker news. I always knew that you had a good heart.

Sorry to hear about your dx of Dupuytren’s. I hope it never gets to the point of affecting your playing. Sending good vibes to you, my friend.

Thanks, for the good vibes and kind words, Marky. Crazy recovery time, longer than I expected, but almost 100%. :D
The hands problem can be very crippling (I have three fingers that locked momentarily on the fret hand and a new sign of it on my right palm, but not rh finger(s) so far). My future could include possible operations of the hands and/or fingers, and I’m told of the inevitable; unfortunately. even surgery isn’t a permanent solution. I keep talking myself into a positive approach; but, unfortunately, I knew a friend who, had severe Dupuytren’s contracture in both hands, and he was disabled pretty severely, plus my Mom had related operations. I read in Britain 20% over 65 and in the U.S. 5% sometimes get it. I should have completed my immigration papers submission, and moved to your side of the border to lessen the odds when I had the chance to work at an associated company. There's a possibility someone else here in the Forum has Dupuytren’s, and even famous people have it, so I’m in good company. It also crimps cooking which is a hobby of mine (although, eating trumps it), and skinny people get the problem more often. I think I broke that skinny rule some time ago.
There is some frustration as to whether I should even consider further investment in gear or another axe. Ah well, it’s a small thing compared to the hurdles many here are presented with, yourself included, Marky. At least, I’m not scheduled for gigs (although, I believe some on stage have a small form of this or other hand compromise), and it makes life interesting. It’ll surely help my Blues Mojo 8) For now I’m good to go, got the swag, and the moves (well, some of them albeit a tiny bit
sloooower). I’m getting used to the things that age can deal you. Some cards suck, but there are still a few Aces in the hand.
Hey, life is good, and I think most of the Lizards here would agree. :D
Everybody has sumpin’.
As Herman’s Hermits put it, “I’m into something good”.

Tune in the good vibes, tune out the bad, and keep rawkin’.

This works better with a toque.
(now that’s swag)
All the cool dudes know this. :P

There’s a motivational lesson to be learned here:

Keep practicing and playing. You never know what’s ahead, and an opportunity to appreciate your interest to the fullest shouldn’t be taken for granted. It’ll pay you back in Spades.

Right now, I'm just working on getting going for the day. But nothing special. It's still nice, and quite in the house. 8)

I have to figure out why my Strat keeps going sharp on me. It started about a month ago and now I'm getting some string buzz too. Maybe the truss rod needs a little attention.

Pass the pizza. :P That sounds good too sfceric64. When we head west Mrs. FSB has a fave pizza of Spinach, Garlic, Onion, Artichoke, Feta and Mozzarella cheese. We can’t get it here, and have yet to make it. Yours sounds tasty with mushrooms. Mmmm.

I had an Aunt living in Monterey, and I can guess what a great car auction that would be. Nice.

One last bush to prune and shape today, then it’s an afternoon football game on TV.

Factoid:
The 107th CFL Grey Cup (Super Bowl 53 years) championship will be November 24, 2019 and, with several teams within one or two games of each other, every game matters as the day’s count down.

Compare that with the NHL’s 102nd season of play or the NFL’s 99 years. The championship under the CFL league only came into effect in 1958, however.
The AFL began in 1960 and merged with the NFL in ‘69. The Stanley Cup has been around since 1892.

Like most Canadian kids of years past, I wore a toque, played organized hockey, and briefly organized football, touched the Grey Cup and the Stanley Cup, and checked out the names. Some of them I knew personally. Mine was missing.
