I went out and went for two very long walks today, and had breakfast at the park, and got a Del's Lemonade, which is this sort of shaved ice beverage with lemon in it, and of course sugar. It's a Rhode Island thing, I suppose. I don't think they have any shops elsewhere. They do have a couple of trucks that serve it on the main beaches, and sometimes the state park on the ocean, where they have a lot of people flying kites, and things like that. I'm also doing laundry, but I've pretty much been out all day.

They’re baaaaack!
Earlier today, I pruned and shaped 10 bushes in the front yard. Suddenly I noticed dozens of red ants gathering and crossing back and forth over one slab of concrete sidewalk. They were going bonkers. Then, simultaneously, Mrs. FSB alerted me that others, seemingly unrelated, were doing the same and crawling up the back steps from all sides. A whole nest full. We did nothing to disturb them into this dance AFAIK. Weird.

I used maple syrup and Borax to discourage and eradicate them. They didn’t like the real syrup. Honey worked better, but neither options
were a hit like seen on YouTube. No unfrozen meat was handy, also a preference. Must be different ants or fussy ones with a taste of their own. We needed quick damage control so we used a broom on the steps to keep them rounded up while spreading Borax concoctions, and pyrethrin. Eventually, they left both locations except for a few stragglers. We’ll see if they return tomorrow. Hopefully, they were on the move and, perhaps, I killed the Queen in the first nests earlier, and these recent ones (takes a few days). Never had them in the house, and don’t want them now. I’ve had some success over the years; but, they always find a way to return elsewhere. Weather is cracking the ground, and that gives them a resort in hot weather. Rain washes any concoction to kill ‘em. It is said if all insects were killed or removed from the face of the earth, ants will be the last to go. I concur.
Ant-Man will check it again tomorrow.
Flame thrower at the ready.

Went to the grocery store day before yesterday. Halloween stuff already appearing.

Aren't you grateful for marketing goobs?

Halloween already? Wow! That is early. Kinda scary, huh?

If ya think that’s bad, vinyl . . . you should see what fun it is doing massive commercials and promotions well in advance of delivery. I did. If that’s not bad enough there’s the after holiday sales. Holidays became just another day at times. It’s the months of holiday music before hand that gets me. Lots of money in the bank for sure. (I gotta sell a hit holiday song).
On the other hand, having had a studio setup full of every current Hot Wheels with Mattel folks was über fun for real. That never gets old. :P

I'm not sure, but maybe go for a walk. I know I have to go to the store later.

I went for a long walk, then stopped by the market on my way back. Now, I'm checking email and all of that, and I'm going to maybe watch some videos, and put in some bass time.

Kicking back this evening, after installing some kitchen lights earlier in the day.

My son did all the chores, around the house, over the weekend so I can chill today and have some musical adventures. 8)

I'm getting ready to shake some roof tiles, and crank up the bass for a few.

Was planning on doing some serious organizing in our wardroom room, since it's become a huge cluster you know what, but not sure if that's still going to happen today, or not. It's raining out, so I doubt a walk is in order, unless we walk around some shops.

Me too! I installed brighter bulbs in the kitchen yesterday.
I saw the doc yesterday for a year checkup after my ticker got attention on the table. Pretty good, and I lose a med which is always rewarding. So, it was a big day forward.

On the flip side, I was also diagnosed with something (Dupuytren’s) that may affect both hands in the future. My guitars, drums, and keyboard could be in jeopardy along with other matters. Time will tell and, although I presently have some intermittent evidence of it, I’m told I may, hopefully, not get to the worse stage because of my age; although, not guaranteed, it can happen anytime, I’ll have to get to producing some tunes and, perhaps, work on my vocals for future consideration. Boy! That’ll take work. Who knows? Maybe, I’ll be able to ace those chords that having been evading me. I only hope the Strat doesn’t become a wall hanging. Phttt! Looks good up there, though. :P

Just got an idea. Maybe. I’ll be able to play slide guitar as a backup.
