What a thoroughly nice day! I stopped by the plumbers store today to pick up some accessories for my newly refurbished bathroom and toilet; soap dispensers and such you know. Then to the pharmacy for some prescription medicines and then grocery shopping. Very foggy and rainy here today. Naturally, as today is the annual midnight sun marathon event. They rarely catch a break with the weather. I had the perfect rainy day pursuit though. Building a nice, big Lego Star Wars kit. Fish gratiné for dinner and a bit of Netflix. Very much a Saturday to my liking.

Finaljy finished obligatory management and paper work for my elderly mom. Just turned on the bedroom TV, and The Sixties (CNN) is showing some footage of JFK’s assassination.

Oddly enough I hadn’t seen some of this. It’s of interest, because, in ‘66 I met theorists and others involved, one of which would attend many related investigative hearings. He revealed a briefcase full of photographs used to boost the theory of more than one shooter. He was enthusiastic about his belief, as we were to see his angle and take with his photos and drawings.

What a botched arrest. When Oswald was shot by Ruby he was being led slowly and with a clear view for the photographers. He passed through a mob of reporters and onlookers to get to an armour truck for his safety. That’s irony for ya.
No matter how it happened, it was a strange event, and I doubt if we’ll ever know the whole story.

I agree, Paul. I worked in the yard today and worked up an appetite. If I do a lot of pushing, shoving, and lifting I give myself a pass and treat. I made a chocolate, peanut butter cup ice cream malted milkshake, I hadn’t had a shake for some time and this flavour was a first for me (I added chocolate malt) since it was all available for the grabbing. :P
I’m going to take your example to the max, Paul. I recently discovered a funky little all doughnut specialty shop within walking distance. Looks promising, Instead of trying it out when we had the car, I told Mrs. FSB we’ll walk there, pick out our doughnuts, and walk back eating them for energy.
Thanks, for the motivation as always, Paul. Great idea. :D

Going to do a long walk, stop by the market, and watch a film or two, and put in some bass time.

I had a terrific day. Feeling well and got in 1 1/2 hours of quality Strat time with no tremor!

Getting ready for bed. I have to get up at 5am for a test.

Turning the schedule around again, since I have stuff to do in the morning. Went shopping yesterday for a few hours, instead of going for a walk, and got some shorts for when it gets hot enough to have to wear them.

Them shorts and yer toque are going to look mighty fine, Paul. I never liked to wear shorts; although, I hung around the beach in a new swimsuit every year in my teens. Go figure.

Last year I bought some shorts sorta like cargo pants. I discovered I can stop my jeans from fraying so early as I have no hips to keep them from dragging like a rapper especially when pushing the lawnmower and such. When I put some heavy tools in my pockets my shorts droop so instead of looking like a rapper I look like a Toronto Raptor. Now I can look cool in the summer with my toque too. 8)
I know Matt probably does the same thing ‘cause he comes from the land close to the McKenzie Brothers (if he didn’t he’d stand out from the crowd). Pretty sure he likes beer too, eh?
Doug, Bob, and Geddy:

Cheers!

Dang! Another mosquito bite on the knee cap.

An interesting thing that's happened to me from living up here for 16 years, as compared to living in Florida for 25 years (I was born in Virginia, and lived there for 6 years,) is I completely lost any sort of tan that I had, and I was pretty dark, especially since I did a lot of landscaping work for many years, and it's impossible to live down there for any amount of time without tanning. Now, when I do have to wear shorts, I can blind people with my pasty white legs. :P I imagine if I went back down there, the people I knew would wonder what the hell happened to me. :P

I have an appointment for the eye doctor this morning, then I don't know what else is going on at this point. Maybe a walk, maybe not.

Today me and Mrs. FSB celebrate being hitched for 48 years. (She rocked the cradle). I did good. We’ll crack open for the first time some premium local wine from my old Vancouver Island home trip. Should be interesting.

Cheers!

If it doesn’t work out, replacements are within walking distance. :P

Congratulations! 8) You know, you've been married a half a year longer than I've been alive.
