A beautiful sunny day had me use the charcoal kettle and I BBQ’d a couple of Jalepeno and cheese burgees smoked with Jack Daniels Bourbon wood pellets. I added some newly acquired John Henry BBQ sauce, but I think the hot part of the sauce rose to the top because the burgers screamed fire, but dang they were good. On the last bite, and when finishing the bottle of beer, an unexpected rogue rain cloud against a blue sky showed up, and dampened the rest of the evening. Good while it lasted. Took my frustration out on some apple pie with a little cinnamon spiced rum sauce that I somehow concocted with a quick tap of the microwave.

Now we’re settling in for some TV.

Didn't get to go for any walks today, since the weather was complete crap, but did walk around a few stores and did some shopping.

I have to say, even though we obviously need it to survive, I'm so sick of the rain. :P I guess it's because it's just been relentless here, for some reason, even breaking record levels. I guess you just have to take advantage of a nice day whenever you can, when you can.

I’m sorta like you, Paul. These sunny days lately are ‘use it or lose it’. We’re getting lots of intermittent rain, and in the prairies, aside from storms, that can be a blessing at times; but, we all like moderate sunshine. I’ve come to making rainy days work days, and sunny days, except for lawn care and the odd job when it requires dry days, are delegated to R&R. Extreme heat, and wind can whittle down the time spent kickin’ back on those nice days, so, yep, as you pointed out, a really great sunny day is something one needs to take advantage of.

It’s 7 pm on a Friday evening here and now. I’m watching the big bang theory reruns and I’m casting a happy glance out my freshly cleaned windows. I recently had cataract surgery, and had a bit of a shock when I realised just how dirty things around here are! Apparently I suck at housework more than I realised. Well, now the windows are done. That’s a good start. I have just had a dishwashing machine installed, but it keeps stopping alerting me that there is something wrong with the water supply. I can’t figure out what is this so the plumber will have to stop by on Monday. Also, I have transgressed against my new year’s resolution not to buy any guitars this year for a fourth time no less! A nice, slightly used Guild StarFire II ST is in the mail. Substitute guitars with cocaine and I’m John Belushi...

Congrats on the surgery, Eljay. Now you’ll be able to appreciate the look of that Guild StarFire II ST. :D

Hey, avenger79. I’m coming to the rescue for all that rain.

Paul and I have the winter toque trend going. Perhaps, you could start a trend with this hat. It’ll have you covered for any weather you have an issue with:

Certainly outdoorsy. 8)
And don’t worry about wearing it. Simply wear the mask and you won’t be recognized.

No thanks necessary. Happy to help out.

Thanks! Beautiful wood certainly deserves top-notch eyesight. I bought an EVH Wolfgang standard with a tri-fade quilt top in March, and it’s not until now I realise just how beautiful that guitar really is!

Good looking EVH nicely finished, Eljay. Wood is one of nature’s finest gifts IMHO.

Laundry, and we're going to go out later for a walk, and get some ice cream, which we'll be walking off while we eat it. That's how you do that business. :P
