Just had a nice thick bison burger delivered to me from my better half.

I'm about to get ready for a long drive to a doctor appointment. Last Friday, one of my specialists thought I might have a problem with my ticker so he helped get me an appointment this morning with my cardiologist. Life is interesting as we get older. :)

Best of luck with that, Marky. I’ve got to make a related appointment soon myself. Keep it upbeat because that is the best medicine you can have, and as difficult as it can be, stress is no advantage but with all the options, medications, knowledge, technology, and skill today there is plenty going for you.

Hey! The Raptors were underdogs, and you can be a winner too.

Thanks, FSB. I'm keeping a very good attitude about it. :)

Some laundry, and we're going to go out and get a new air conditioner when the stores open later, since it's getting to be that time of the year to start using that.

Just to show how climate has changed, when I grew up on Vancouver Island we (and much of Vancouver) did not see air conditioners as they were not really needed and fans were the order of the day. Today, that has all changed. A/C is everywhere except for some older buildings.

Just like in the hot states of USA, here in the prairies A/C is more of a necessity than a convenience. One of the greatest inventions IMHO.

I remember not having A/C at home, and then we’d go for a car ride just to cool off. Pretty strange, huh?
Enjoy yours, Paul.

Factoid:
A new Canadian Climate Change poll has reported, 75% are willing to make changes in their daily lives, 63% make fighting it a top priority, most are willing to buy local, change the thermostat, and so on, less than 1 in 5 would buy an electric car or give up meat eating, 1 in 4 are willing to pay less than $100 a year tax or otherwise to prevent change.

I’d be interested to see other countries’ similar polls. However, size of country, type of industry available, population, and economy are some deciding factors.

It would be interesting to see a chart of the available climate changes of the other planets over the same period of time as ours. Not that it could compare for a variety of reasons; but, it would be interesting.

Perhaps, our moon would have a closer comparison, if any. Maybe, a Cray super computer could calculate the differences submitted by some smart mathematicians and scientists.

After all, the way things are going today, we’ll all be driving gps automated AI battery powered rovers with satellite radio soon and, hopefully, the climate changes won’t add more moonscape here on earth.

Well, our bedroom is in the 3rd story/attic level of a house that was built in 1882, which gets very hot in the summer, because heat rises. One time before we got an air conditioner, and had to get the electric fixed in the house to even run it, or it would kick a breaker, it got up to 101 degrees in there when we were sleeping, and that's down right dangerous, if not deadly.

The rest of the house doesn't have it, and for the most part, we can get away with it, with the windows open, and fans going. We only live like a 1/4 of a mile from the beach, which goes into the north Atlantic, and we're technically on an island, so there's always some sort of ocean breezes and a lot of times, strong winds. In fact, I wore trousers until late July, early August when I went for walks, last year. It really doesn't get oppressively hot here, but it can get quite humid. Nice summers, but the winters have been quite brutal the past couple of years, with a few blizzards and a lot of snow. Although, last winter we barely got any snow at all, but a lot of cold winds.

I remember those tossing with intermittent sleep hot nights, Paul. When we were first married it was an apartment with no air conditioner, and having moved from temperate weather to extreme weather I must say really hot weather still doesn’t turn my crank.

Along came waterbeds. We bought one that was demoed with a VW Beetle on top of it but, mostly, because it could be cold or warmed up. For my shift work, problem solved. Later it was hello air conditioner, and my better half wanted a regular bed. But, over 100° for sleeping? Whoa! You’re right to go with an A/C, Paul. As for living alongside the raging Atlantic, I hear ya bro’. That’s an experience.

I think I might take a long walk today, as long as the rain holds off, and either way, I'm going to watch a film or two, and put in some bass time. I also need to stop by the grocery store to pick something up for dinner tonight.

I had a waterbed when I was 20 to 21 years old. I almost had forgotten about that one! Do they even still make those damned things? :P

Getting ready for another doctor visit. That's three in three days, ugh. I have a feeling that my heart thing isn't bad but I have a blood test, chest X-ray and Echo scheduled. I will be starting a clinical trail at Harvard University for my neurological problem next week. I don't have to go to Harvard. My doctor will be sending them biopsies of my nerves from four different locations. There's always something new to try, thank goodness. :) I have top-notch doctors in both areas and I'm very grateful for them.

Yup! Only now you can have different temperatures on either side, and you can get them without the tsunami rock and roll.

Marky. I know how tough you’ve had it, and I am and I’m sure your son is very happy for you to get such great care and attention. Looks like you not only got a terrific resource in Harvard, but it’s obvious your local medical team and doctor are serving you well. Keep the faith, Marky. You may benefit from new advancements or discovery. Wishing you the best.

And stay away from those Harvard cheerleaders. They’ll get your heart racing.

That's a fact but can't a guy have a little fun? Maybe a kegger or two?
Thanks for your well wishes. I do appreciate the kind thoughts and support from all of you.

It's going to be ok. :) I'm getting ready for a grocery delivery and a repairman to come do some things around the house but now it's Strat time. :D
