Got the backyard raked up a little more; but, I had to stop before the rain storm. Darn, I then jammed with the keyboard, and Billy Vera on the turntable. Following that, a hen party went on upstairs and, with my grabbing a Moscow Mule and Mrs. FSB’s Manicotti, I installed 3 Venomode plugins to the PC. There was a slight problem getting the downloads without shutting the firewall off. After all, a firewall works best when it’s not off. Not uncommon amongst installations, kind of an old school compatibility practice; however, these days it could be a planned data breach. adding to that it is concerning with all the ramped up hacking these days. Ya never know what surprises are lurking or dormant. Sitting the i’s and crossing the t’s gave me some sense of security that this was not expected at each step of the way. At first, after a delay of the plugins showing up in the DAW, it was a brief where are they moment. So far so good as I enabled the deep scanning of malware and the anti virus program to do their bit while I sleep, :D

Going to go to the store, then watch some films, and put in some bass time.

Mrs. FSB and I are going to place flowers at my mother-in-law’s resting place (in the Veterans’ honour spot alongside the father-in-law) for Mother’s Day. It’s such a little thing for the many things she has done for us.

Nice job, FSB. I'm glad it all worked out.

*Just shows to go ya that I need to proof read what should be making corrections for me. Instead it’s the other way around. :?
Thanks, Marky. As you know plugin installations can take you on a journey, sometimes unexpected with security on steroids. I find this happens more with overseas software; but, it’s all good if not confusing at times. :P
I think I have enough equalizers with hardware and software. There are a few classic ones missing for sure, but I have enough to keep me busy for a very long time. :P Free ones keep coming, and I’m a glutton in case the need arises.

When I typed ‘the need arises’ (as seen above) auto correction typed ‘the beer arrives’. I corrected it and drank the beer.

 You know the auto correct feature 'learns' from what you've previously typed in. Hmmm... so when does the beer arrive? It's a beautiful morning and I'm enjoying a cool fresh breeze. Soon it will be Strat time and maybe some recording.

 That gave me a great chuckle, Marky. I’m still ROTFL. I did know auto correct is supposed to learn from you/me. I’m thinking I’ll add incorrect entries on purpose. That should change the game. :P

Cut the lawn for the first time this year. An immediate start after winter storage. Yay! Seeded and fertilized the same. Mrs. FSB did a nice job with the flowers, and I got a boo boo with my forearm after axing roots and pulling up a large pruned Black Lace bush that broke because of decay causing me to take a minor tumble. I thought all was okay until later when I discovered a bruise and a marble size welt. Sore yes, but no biggie. At least I got the job done. :D

Nice job, FSB. You got a lot done. Sorry about your tumble but glad your injuries are minor.

I was planning on doing a minor roof repair. A concrete roofing tile got cracked by a falling tree limb during a storm. Maybe I'll wait for my son to wake up. :)

Thanks, Marky. The bummer is it’s the arm that, in the past few weeks, suddenly got to the 100% healing stage after last year’s stint in the OR. It’s taken that long and I had to mess around with the same one at the same place. Phtt! At least, for the moment, I can’t chop up another bush that will be even more difficult to remove.
I know “Flying On The Ground Is Wrong” (sic); but, roofing is always something to be careful with. Sorry to hear about your storm damage, but be careful and stay safe. You never know what can happen when you’re high.

That is a bummer. Sorry to hear that.

I use my pick up to pull out bushes and even small trees. I have a tow strap rated at 20,000 pounds and I wrap one end around the bottom of the bush/tree and the other end to my truck's ball hitch. As the truck pulls, the strap tightens around the plant and it comes right out, along with a few feet of roots. Is that an option for you?

I don't know if I'll be able to fix my roofing tile. I wouldn't have to get off the ladder but I'm not sure I could climb a ladder with my weak legs. I'd have to pull myself up using my arms and that's probably not a good idea.

It can wait. 8)

Good idea to get help there, Marky. Taking chances is never a good idea. It’s probably not so difficult, and the help might be an easy answer.
Your pickup trick (or is that truck LOL) would definitely work well except, in my case, the plant was not accessible being in a somewhat enclosed area with fencing; but, thanks for your suggestion.

When I was 14, I lived on a farm in Nova Scotia while our family waited for another residence to become available - some of the greatest times this city kid ever had, except for a terribly sad a day I’ll never forget. There were 2 teenage sons on this popular large mixed family farm, mostly dairy. I came home from school only to see everyone hanging their heads in tears. The experienced oldest son. destined to take over the family farm, was found crushed against a tree with the rear wheels of the tractor still digging grooves into the ground pushing the front of the tractor up and over against the tree and the farm boy. I’m glad I did not witness it, but I felt for the family and friends. Since then, I have heard of similar accidents here in Manitoba. If I recall correctly, ollder tractors were often problematic with a latch that would flip over pedals to combine the operation of the rear wheels. In fact a lot of farm accidents are pretty ugly.

On the bright side, a lot of the chores can.now be done at a distance by remote control.
