Hey there, Paul. Sounds like Rhode Island is coming alive after the winter. Nice!

We have shoulder to shoulder people out here, and bumper to bumper Mercedes and Land Rovers, so I too am looking forward to getting back to walking, especially in a less populated area with pickup trucks. I need the walk to shed a few pounds gained on holiday; but, I’ll get my share of yardwork and spring cleanup when I get back to the ‘Peg.

Last summer was a write off for me, so I’m looking forward to lots of guitar on the patio this year, weather permitting. Now if I could figure out how to keep the acoustic (and to a lesser extent, the Strat) from hot sun damage that would be a bonus. I know. I’ll wear my shades 8)

Thanks, Marky. I was doing pretty good until some young gun pulled up in a screaming hot black Ferrari. Then I found out that on the day we return home we’ll be greeted by snow. Hahaha.

Snow... never a dull moment, huh? Well today our high is supposed to reach 100°/38°! This will be our first triple-digit day. :)

I just had the dog out for the night, so it's getting to be about time for me to hit it for the night. Image

Yeah, winter always sucks. It's nice to see some spring, even though there is often rain to come with it, sometimes, which impedes going out for a walk, unless you time it right, during a break in the weather, and take an umbrella with you. I'm going to try and put in as much walking as I can get in.

I'm planning on putting down some bass tracks tonight. This time, I'm planning on using the Ibanez Talman bass for the tracks. It's been behaving, after I tweaked the truss rod on it.

Walking in the sunshine is preferable to be sure. I actually don’t mind the rain here on the coast, I think that comes from, as a kid, playing in it watching my boat (actually a stick, leaf, or something similar) float curbside downhill. I like the soft water on my face, the freshness in the air, the dirt washed away, and the greenery. Not so enjoyable on the prairies with the abundant lightning, string winds, buckets of rain, and the odd tornado. That makes for an uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous walk or drive. Bailing a boat quickly in the middle of a large lake or river is not fun either.

You haven’t lived until your floating car floorboards are a virtual swimming pool, or your metal frame gazebo needs to be lashed down as it blows away in a downpour at 3am with massive lightning strikes around you. :? Needless to say, I ditched that gazebo,

As for the sun, I like it and hate it. Expensive and ugly droughts, brown grass and dying plants or no grass or growing of plants, sunburns and possible cancer, fires along with the smoke, global warming events, faded boats and cars, hot handles and railings, and more. But, it is rather nice at times. .

Hmm? Everything in moderation. Where I live, known as Sunny Manitoba, it’s mostly snow and constant sunshine.at the same time
Just opened the drapes to see blue sky above the mountains. What a beautiful sunny day with snow on the ski hills overlooking the harbour of cruise ships, and other watercraft. The tree by our window is swaying in a light breeze. I think I’ll go for a walk. :P

That's something I haven't had in ages. You make your own, or you get them out somewhere?

Reserved a place for my 96 year old mother from a Veteran’s care home, and my wife and I on vacation. We had a great meal at a 50 year old German restaurant in New Westminster, BC. The room we were in was surprisingly filled with a bus load of seniors who gathered before a symphony performance. Gawd we’re old and schnitzeled out with plate size portions. Thankfully, I and my better half were still the younger seniors (I think). Phew!
Ein prosit!

I went for a long walk, and now I'm watching a film or two, and putting in some bass time.
