Maybe I'll be able to go for a walk, I'm not sure. I haven't been able to for a while now, and I miss doing that.

Chilling out. It was a busy day with appointments and I finished and filed my taxes.

I hear ya, Paul, I miss the warmer weather and the outdoors for walking, because I’m not a mall rat since I worked beside and in one of the country’s larger malls, plus there is a neighbourhood one a short walk away which holds both our drugstore, grocery store, and liquor store, so it gets enough of our attention.

The city is like retail-a-mania with Canada’s largest IKEA and whatnot, and my guess is retail is the city’s largest employer. A lot has to do with others coming into the city from the countryside, up north, our neighbouring province which is sparsely populated 2 1/2 hours ftom here, and a little tourism from Minnesota, but more from North Dakota. Lots of cold outdoor activity available if you’re into that, however.

I like walking the big box hardware stores, but with Mrs. FSB that’s dangerous.
Beats doing taxes though huh, Marky? Mine are waiting. Phhht!

Well here we are in the middle of February. Spring is getting closer so you guys will find your walks much nicer to do. I hope you can get out again soon.

This is our nice time of year where we don't have to hide out in the A/C on those hot summer days. I think I might take one of my dogs for a walk this morning. I can only take one because I need a thumb to drive my wheelchair. Yes, FSB, I'm sure happy my taxes are done and I came out way better than I thought I would. That was a nice surprise. :)

That’s always good. I’m glad it worked out in your favour, Marky. :D

Going to watch a film and put in some bass time. Later, I'm going to put together a kale salad with tuna for dinner. I have to marinate the kale in dressing for at least an hour to soften it up a bit, before serving.

I was looking at another social site and found this real picture of a volcano erupting. It is amazing.

I managed to finally go for a walk tonight. It's been a while, but it's nice to finally be able to go out and do that. Oddly enough, it was busy around town, especially for February (it's mainly a summer thing around these parts.) I think there might be some sort of event going on, though.

I replaced a watch that bit the dust when the band came apart, and the watch hit the floor in a grocery store.

Really cool picture of that hot volcano, Marky. Thanks a bunch for sharing it. :D

Sorry to hear abour your watch, Glenn. Hope it worked out for the best. I love watches, and used to colkect them. Gave that up because the expensive ones were expensive to repair or maintain, and I hated to have to send them away for repair after having gotten a letter saying a favourite with an analog alarm (with what looked like a second second hand), went missing on the other side of the country, and I was told to replace it at their cost. I wanted the original back since it was unique and irreplaceable.
Batteries are a PITA, the 60s Rolex loses time, and a crooked jeweller gave my dad, who wasn't aware of the gifted value, a cheap replacement gold band in place of the original Rolex band that was worth a bundle more than his gold watch. The Heuer stopwatch from work has stopped as did others before their time. I did a commercial for Longines and the wife’s nice new watch (deal) had to be replaced twice in a month and the third time a Japanese watch did the trick. There were others, including a few decent ones through work parties, and now she has a recent one that neither needs winding or batteries for life. I have my father’s wind up 1942 watch that survived a U-boat battle. It works, but needs a daily wind when used, which I use a lot. In the drawer is the first heavyweight Seiko LCD that sadly dropped a lost button. Some of the lesser expensive ones are just as interesting and work well. Sometimes, better.

Yep! Watches are cool, When they work. Sort of like foreign cars. :P
Enjoy your new one, Glenn. It’s about time.:D

Thanks, I went back to a Diver's Seiko, from a Sport Seiko. It's stronger, and one of these days I may do some more dives off of the coast. I know what you're saying about doing some limited watch collecting. It's worse than collecting firearms.

Good lookin’ dependable ticker there, Glenn. That’ll suit the diving adventure nicely. :D

Tried a little love and hate experiments with the recently new printer. It uses pigment and dye inks so there are benefits with compromises compared to my earlier one. Finally read an article for a work around to make untinted natural B&W photos. Still need to see if it works with the flash card and scanner just using the printer. The first B&W scan to printer was less than desired. Colour everything, so far, is good.; but, I have a need for and like B&W too. I’ve been tested for colour ability and I got 20 out of 20 colours and shades in correct order. Just to prove it was no fluke, the test was repeated. No biggie as others are just as capable; but, it does mean that, having colour as a big part of my career, if it’s not right the rest of it can take a back seat. I’ll take a less sharper picture than an off colour one. With small prints slightly off B&W might be one thing, but with larger prints, unless intended, off colour B&W bugs me. Probably, because I was a B&W TV cameraman back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. I also need to get some time or help to figure out why my custom size paper print, seemingly correctly set up with size and portrait at both PC and printer, printed off the paper. Digital storage is nice. Although, it may not always be the right size, but it usually fits nicely. 8) At least my custom attempt printed half of it.
