Really interesting article about self learning with supporting action AI robots, and how it’s advancing, Marky, It’s been decades since I read a report about switching gears in AI from trying to recreate the characteristics of the brain to the characteristics of the mind. That was an upside down huge leap that brought AI to the front stage. Think about Big Blue shrunk down. I think it was and is inevitable. Congrats to the gang at Columbia.

Okay. That’s what we do know. What we don’t know is even more overwhelming. Thankfully, robots mimic us; and, we are said to not use all of our brain. That Is myth:

https://www.scientificamerican.com/arti ... ir-brains/

Robots, however can be made to be consistent, tweaked, and they may evolve at a faster rate which will only matter when they have been made equals with the possibility of surpassing us. That hasn’t AFAIK gotten there yet. Humans evolve too, but at a slower rate and some will always seem to buck the norm. It’s like watching robot tournaments.
The Co-op store is of interest because we shop at one about 10 minutes from our door. I’m sure there is a logical answer and I’m not surprised as cars and their computers can be hacked even while driving. EMF and RF can certainly create problems, but we have big power poles nearby adjacent to a parking lot with no known problem and RF leakage is everywhere. The odd thing is that plenty of cars were included and I’m curious to know what models were involved. I believe some have had FOB or computer access more vulnerable than others. The cause is another matter. While improvements may or may not have been made, these issues have been around for some time. This is one way:

Yikes! Your Skype issue is crazy, Marky. That’s a tough one. I would check the audio (like a DAW or other) program as to whether Skype can be used or associated with it. It’s a long shot, but I wouldn’t rule it out. I can see an application for that. You probably know this already, check that you haven’t (or have if desired) given apps permission to use your mic or camera. Likely not, but these things occur. Even though your camera and mic can run independent of Skype there may be a corruption or connection that might trigger Skype. Again unlikely, but many of my problems have been found to be unlikely and solved when no other solution showed up.

I was sorry to see MS Live Messenger replaced by Skype which has video that doesn’t impress me. YMMV. It reminds me of the VHS features popularity over the Beta quality.

I had problems that were similar as my USB camera light would turn on inadvertently, and a quick pull of the cord (not suggested) was a quick fix. It was likely an MS Live bug or snoop. It works just fine now (with no MS Live or need for Skype) and the probem hasn’t happened for eons. My camera on the PC has a lense cap unless I need it. and I check for audio from the mic. That said, there are mics on my wifi speakers, and I still haven’t found out their official use, mics on my USB speakers are said to be for the phones, phone mics, an iPad and iPod each with a mic. What are odds of someone listening in? Probably the same as the cameras without talley lights taking a mug shot or worse. Why no lights on the phone cameras? That should be law!! Okay, maybe battery issues, then it should be announced on screen should it be active. All this ballyhoo should be housed in a phone booth or cone of silence to isolate their use. :P
I hope things work out for you, Marky. Somebody else must have run across the issue. You might try the Skype Forum.

I like Firefox too, and emails test out for the time being until I do some cleanup long story short. Should be okay until next time.

I'm doing some laundry. Yesterday, we went and visited my girlfriend's grandmother, and went to the mall after that and shopped around for a few hours. We're going to go for a walk later, when it's supposed to warm up a bit.

Fixed 6 email Exchange accounts on 3 pieces of hardware because Siri messed them up with unannounced links that would show and quickly remove inbox entries. :? Removed and reinstalled them differently after cleaning out the culprits. Easy peasy, no loss of email (yet) for which I was prepared to do a manual backup, and now they sync perfectly.

Not a big deal, huh? Well. the cool thing is I’ll know where to look should Siri mess things up again. :P
Maybe, I’ll go back to my StarTac.

Thanks. 8) There's certainly a procedure to doing it all. You got to set up lights, equipment, and there's the makeup and all of that. It's total pro stuff going on. This is for a serious release. No screwing around here.

Well, the photography session is done, so now all that is left is to go through all of that, but that's all up to my girlfriend. She deals with all of that, and everything else. I just assisted with taking the pictures, or whatever else I can help with. The ball is definitely rolling, though.

Earlier this morning, I did the deal on the Fender Super Bassman head. After that fixed some lunch, and now trying to decide what's for dinner.

Watching some films, and putting in some bass time.

I napped on and off all day. I've been really fatigued last past few weeks. Now I'll be up for awhile so it's Strat time. :)
