Managed to go for a walk today, since the weather wasn't as brutal, then went grocery shopping.

I had a great R & R day. It's time to wrap it up.

I'm going to go for a long walk, soon. It's very cold out, but not windy. Then I'm going to try and watch a film I have recorded, and put in some bass time.

I just finished putting Fender locking tuners on my new Player Series Strat. That will make changing strings quicker since I'm already on my third set of strings! Now I'm going to put on an American Standard string guide. I'll have to drill a hole in the headstock for the post on the string guide but that's ok. Next, I'm looking for a nice set of chrome block saddles.

I appreciate locking tuners, Marky. I wish my old twelve string had been setup that way. Enjoy those new ones.

Yesterday, I had to do a tap dance to follow up on a spoofed Fit Bit watch email notification not ordered through Amazon. I’ve had similar before, and probably will again.

The problem is the phoney email is getting more difficult to decifer the fake from the real McCoy. Blocking is all but useless with constant changes in sources. Contacting Amazon can be a pain depending on the knowledge of the individual, the chosen route of contacting, and the ease of correction. In any case it’s time consuming when changing passwords, and a PITA for dealing with these fraudulent morons that go phishing mostly with no response (thankfully). Obviously, the authorities don’t care for a variety of self serving reasons. Too bad we can’t have a button to delete them from the system.

I'm going to try and go for a long walk, then watch a film, and put in some bass time. I might have to do some adjustments on my Ibanez short scale bass, by raising the action a bit, unfortunately. It's been noticeably buzzing and I heard it when I played through the Ampeg. That sucks, since I like how the action feels on the neck.

Just finished making Veggie, Ham and mushrooms, BBQ chicken, Greek chicken, Italian sausage and ham, Pepperoni (from the Italian market) and mushroom, all with no less than six cheeses, perhaps onions and roasted garlic with pizza spiced oil and butter glazed edges all later to get an infused pizza drizzle just before heating and serving. I hope 50 years of pizza making pays off with the Saturday evening company. Actually, 50 years is nothing considering I’ve pigged out for more than 60 years from coast to coast on that great contribution to we foodies.
After this weekend my weight loss will be shot. I’ll probably need to walk to Rhode Island, go walking with Paul, return back to Winnipeg, but not before stopping for a pizza with SBLS in Chicago. I may even walk to Vancouver Island where a Chinese family makes one of the best dang pizzas I’ve ever had. It’s generally accepted that noodles came from the land of the dragons. Ya think maybe pizza did? Well, for some time there have been Asian scallion pancakes; but, dairy products such as cheese were and, for the most part, are not part of the Far East culinary tradition. Aside from the dairy cattle being used for work rather than milking and the fact that Nomads had cheese, it wasn’t considered uppity enough for general consumption. :P
Side note: As the pizza lovers here know, there are many varieties of pizza, especially as regions go. For his wedding, my cousin’s father-in-law had a chef who flew in from Milan and, after stuffing ourselves with a six course customary dinner, he presented us and the other guests with made in front of you pizzas. They were very thick bread like and delicious. Mine are thick, and perhaps too much, but that is the top not the bottom. Regardless, a big pizza pie is Amore.

Tutti Fuori
Ciao

Wow, FSB, that sounds like some amazing pizza! I love Chicago pizza. Out here, what passes for pizza tastes like it came out of the frozen isle in the grocery store. Bon appétit!

I've been working on a new song using Guitar Pro 7.5. I think that GP is too complicated, at least for me. I'm spending more time learning the program than writing. So, today I heard about a free program called MuseScore and I'm checking it out. It seems way less complicated and better suited to my IQ.

Thanks, Marky. One of the things about moving about the country is one always finds things they miss and good things to discover. This city used to have Chinese sweet and sour sauce and pineapple sweet and sour sauce with the only difference being pineapple was added the same cherry sauce. Where I came from Chinese food is the same as Pizza is to Chicago. There is the same old same old with many restaurants, but I’ve had pineapple sweet and sour that is close to the colour and flavour of pineapple. When I first got married I got ticked off with the Chinese food in this town, went shopping at night, cooked till morning and afternoon and had all family members show up for a Chinese dinner that I knew. I even hung pork with paper clips on the oven rack.

Pizza here is like you said unless you can wring out the grease. It’s getting better, but considering how it’s been that’s an easy fix.
I’m with you on spending more time doing than struggling with a learning curve with those tools that were supposed to make the task easier rather than just repetitively easier. Heck. I can ask someone to do that. :P
However, I get both sides of the advantage. It sometimes can be a creative juices killer though, and old guys like me have more patience than time, unfortunately.

Good luck with MuseScore and your new song. Marky.

Thanks, FSB. I made progress with my song yesterday so things worked out. I used paper and a pencil. I just downloaded TurboTax and am starting my 2018 returns. Oh joy. I think it's one step above your blue screen.

What? They still make paper and pencils in this paperless society?

Ya got that right. I need a new OS to continue my decades old method of using that software for tax forms. I guess the government won’t get their return. That way they’ll show up on my doorstep so I can do it verbally and they can use paper and a pencil to take notes.

Watching the nitrocellulose dry, 9 coats of clear gloss and day 7 of the drying phase. Just heard my pups were finished and shipped this afternoon. Looks like I'll make it to 10 days drying before parts arrive. By then the itch should be unbearable. Looking forward to finishing this delinquent project.
