Watching a movie Deepwater Horizon, then the next session on the kit LP. I'm on the 8th build coat now, no pics until it gets buffed and I hang the neck in the pocket. Should be close to setting the neck this weekend. Done w/ all the dry sanding up to 800 wet.

Sounds like your project is moving along pretty good. 8)

Going to test out the camera stabilizer today for the video shoot, then do some shopping, and make some Vietnamese pho, or some version of it, since I had to improvise because we don't have a proper Asian market around here. I got the ingredients yesterday, but it wound up being too late in the day to cook it, since it is somewhat of a procedure, but worth it. I'd like to go for a walk, since I haven't been able to do that too much, as well. If not, at least I'll be busy doing other stuff.

I'm setting up my new AKAI MPK mini. I've got it working in Studio One but now I have to figure out how to assign the knobs to a function. If anyone has some tips, I'm all ears. :)

That’s an adventure, huh Marky? Sorry I can’t help out, and YouTube sometimes doesn’t relate to that question of the moment. Video manuals one would think would be the norm these days. Yeah, right. How much would that add to the cost? Me? Well, there’s enough manuals and guides, mechanicals, and software to learn that it will take more time than I have for it. That’s okay though. We often had pro gear in the control room not long enough to fully grasp the whole enchilada, unless it was exceptional, and even then. Technology moved on. But, like most toys it was both a PITA and a blessing. That’s also okay, because I have close to 2000 chords on the guitar I can learn. :P
Hope the stabilizer worked out, Paul. Lighter cameras do tend to appear to shake more and those physical stabilizers certainly add to the optical and digital ones. I’ve worked with lenses so long they needed to be braced. Even the wind would shake the image with little movement. Today’s technology rocks.

No walk today, shoveled snow front, back, and the partial alley. Wore some Bluetooth headphones to keep the ears warm. Got rewarded with a fresh cinnamon and sugar donut and a bowl of jello with light whipping cream.

Life is good.

Shoveling snow is good exercise. How are your hand and arm? I drove to get the mail and when I got back, a few minutes later, I was rewarded with lots of canine kisses from my puppies. It's not a fresh cinnamon and sugar donut and a bowl of jello but I'll take what I can get. :)

I just put my recording stuff away and it's time to play. I think some mellow acoustic is on the list for tonight. :)

Everybody knows doggies are better than donuts, and less calories too, I thought all was mended. I’m beginning to think it’s a losing battle or a long one. Never say never say I. Pretty good until I use them, which is difficult not to being that’s it’s my right arm and wrist, and minor driving doesn’t help. Playing is better, but sometimes the discomfort appears much later. I can still pick up a donut though. Maybe that's too much exercise, and the problem.

Sorry to hear that your arm and wrist are still troubling you. I thought you'd be all healed up by now. Well you can't give up on the donuts; that's for sure. Have one for me. :)

The weather is nice (no rain,) so I'm going to go for a big walk, which I haven't been able to do in awhile, swing by the grocery store, then catch up on some movies and play some bass.

That sounds like a good plan, Paul. I have no plans except to play some and fool around with my midi controller.

Watching CFL semi-finals. One hometown won (48-8). One more to go next week and now the other hometown is up to play. I’m hoping for two hometowns (former and present) to meet for the Grey Cup. Slim chance, but possible.

Just had two chicken sammies, and the chicken didn’t complain one bit.
