awesome. sounds like a fantastic boat.

I don't mind the power but it is very different. I love the quiet of sailing and feeling like you are harnessing nature I guess.
the heeling was the part that the girlfriend did not like.

living aboard was the eventual dream, went as far as shopping for boats in FL last winter but I could tell she wasn't really into it, so that dream has gone. '

figured it was easier to change boat styles then it would be to change girls. tough to find one willing to put up with me.
Well, I’m happy with the woman I’ve had for 49 years; but. I never did figure out what’s better - a woman with a boat or a boat with a woman. There sure are a lot with a trailer though.

I'm getting ready to start to reset some of the timers around the house back to standard time again.

That reminds me of my first set of wheels when I and a friend lifted the back 6 inches and lowered the front 6 inches of my black ‘63 Comet. Now that was fun rounding a curve. At least you could see over the hood.

Being that it is the eve of the annual "dark chapter" of the season, I am considering starting a petition to rename Standard Time to Daylight Losing Time.

The old Native American proverb:
Only a white man can cut a foot off the bottom of his blanket and sew it onto the top and think he's made a longer blanket.

(That may not be a perfect quote. Consider it Matt's paraphrased version)

I’ve never heard that before. That’s excellent, and ain’t that a fact Jack? :D

I'm going to go for a long walk, which I haven't been able to do for over a week or so, because of the constant rain. Nice day today, though. Then, I'm going to go to the store to pick up tonight's diner, then put in some serious bass time, and catch up on some TV that I have recorded.

Good on ya, Paul. That’s my plan for today too. This week has also kept me from my mandatory extended walks (because of obligations or crappy weather). It just so happens that we have to pickup some things today, and across from where we have to go there is an outlet stores mall which we will walk, hopefully past the cash registers.
There’s no bakery or music store, phew! But, some pretty funky chocolate shops. I’ll have to wear a nose clip and some blinders. :P

A little chocolate won't hurt you. Just don't eat 5 pounds of the stuff, and you'll be OK. :P I know, it sucks. Imagine if chocolate was the same as eating broccoli?

 I took you up on it, Paul. I had three little chunks from the orange chocolate bar bought for me. That amounts to about 65 calories, not bad. It killed the craving.

For supper today I made Pad Thai with tiny prawns. It just gets by on the loss program; but, sadly I haven’t found an easy out for spaghetti no matter how I make it. (Even worse. I usually make sauce from scratch for Mrs. FSB, and I also like Spaghetti a la Homer which is no sauce other than a toss with browned butter and myzithra cheese). For the little amount one gets, I could eat a lot of chocolate.

If you are looking for a low calorie alternative for spaghetti, try using green beans instead of pasta, and put the sauce over those, or maybe spaghetti squash might work, as well. There are a lot of workarounds for things like that. A lot of it is trial and error, though.

Not sure if the green beans would work in this case for me; but, it’s been awhile since I’ve made spaghetti squash, and that’s a very good possibility. I’ve been a gourmet and ethnic cook since my 20s so I can work with that, Thanks, for coming to the rescue again, Paul. I just passed that idea to Mrs. FSB and she likes the idea too. :D
