Today, I’m keeping my calorie count intact by making a large barbecue chicken pizza. I’ll eat 1/4 today, share 1/4, freeze the rest, and repeat the 1/4 intake another day. I might even throw in a cold beer with lime. :D

This is for you, Paul (and all you health conscious guys and gals).

Day before yesterday, I went for my walk and did some grocery shopping. Then I deeked into the Dollar store at the end of the strip mall. There I discovered really low cal imported orange filled chocolate topped cookies. Orange chocolate is a vice of mine, so being that they were half the calories of my mint chocolate cookies, I bought a package to try.

With the cookies I tossed into the bag of groceries, we began our walk back home. With my tummy lacking food, I decided to sample a cookie on the walk. Wow! There will be more coming.

Then Mrs. FSB says, “Nice walk. huh? You get to eat cookies?” I said, “What’s wrong with that? If Paul gets gelato on his walks, I get cookies!” :P
Thanks, for getting me outa trouble, Paul.

Probably going to go for a walk, if it doesn't rain (doesn't appear to.) Right now, I have some domestic crap to take care of.

Just put the 3rd coat of satin on the back of the neck, I gave each coat about 24hrs to hang out and do its thing. I will scuff sand w/ P600 before going w/ the next three coats. Some very slight orange peel going on, nothing bad though. Its starting to look like each coat lightens the darkness of the max brown dye.
My shellac making ingredients should be here tomorrow so I can mix 'em and let them breath for a few days to a week. Went w/ golden amber as the base color, brown kusmi #2 and dark jethwa. Never frenched before, but I've spit-shined my share of boots. Looking forward to learning it.
I will likely dye the front next and tape/paper the back(may get the 1st three coats of gloss on the back if the shellac takes longer than anticipated to test). Still haven't really figured the front dye and-or shellac option yet, I have to try it out on another 3x8 scrap of spalted maple for comparison.
Hoping to finish by Thanksgiving; meanwhile looking for cases at pawn shops & estate sales.

I'll be going out for a walk before it gets too late. It's now that time of year to break out the toque caps and gloves.

Well, today I didn't actually go out for a walk at all. Instead, my girlfriend and I decided to do our own version and record the Christmas song "Away In A Manger," to be released for Christmas, or right beforehand. I'm not used to playing in a 3/4, or Waltz time signature, which is what the song is in, so that took a little bit of work, but I managed to pull it off. This was the first time I've ever even played any Christmas songs, much less record them, so it was fun. I'm looking forward to the finished product that she'll do all of the rest with.

I'm looking through some pictures and I thought I would share two of them with you. The first one is of wild horses that were in a canyon about 9 miles from my house and the second one is of my canine crew, Max and Heidi. :D

Great looking "Crew" Markey!!!

Busy day, sleep schedule all jacked up from watching the WS. Enjoyed the F1 race from Mecico City in between naps then the final game of the World Series.

So Saturday I got three batches of shellac mixed and strained, ready for Monday practise. I also sprayed the 6th coat of satin on the back of the LP neck-set aside to cure before wetsanding. Here is a comparison pic before and after spraying the Satin:

Just catching up here. Partied last night for a relative’s birthday, had a lazy day watching movies and the World Series, and now reading the Forum.

I heard the Northeast was getting their share of chillin’ weather, but I know that toque will keep ya warm, Paul. :P

Nice doggies, Marky. Thanks, for the photos. I learned of the story years ago, so I watched a great movie (In Pursuit Of Honor) about Calvary horses in 1935 that were, because of government cuts, killed off in Arizona by MacArthur’s troops, except for the stolen ones rescued by some rogue Calvary soldiers and driven across the border to this country where the Mounties and Indians welcomed them. Who knows? Maybe, those wild horses have some relatives amongst the Calvary horses.

Looks like the project is coming along nicely, Eric.

I can see that they have what I call the "hopeful look," which usually involves you having some sort of food related item on hand. :P

My girlfriend just wrote and I helped her composed a new song last night and we're planning on recording it. Well, if the weather is crappy and you can't go out for a walk, you might as well write and play some music. 8)

Thanks sfceric64. They are from the same litter and are in separable and are great dogs.

What a difference the satin makes. It looks beautiful. Nice work!
