Guess what gang. I made it through the day without mall shopping. Yahoo!
Got to HD and the other hardware box store across from it. Picked up the info I wanted, and I got away lucky by window shopping the goodies. :D
I had a great time, walked both stores from end to end and in between, but with all the stopping to gawk I think I need to find someplace like a mall to do that fast walkin’ exercise stuff. Nope, nope, nope.
Maybe a fast walk to the store to get some jelly beans.

I think you should build a stage, Paul.
This’ll get ya started: :P

I suppose I could, but I don't have anywhere to put it. :P The thing is, it probably wouldn't be too difficult to do, since it's essentially like a box, or platform. Of course, it would need to be level and structurally sound, to hold all of the weight of the equipment, and/or people.

After my walk I went grocery shopping yesterday and I am sad but happy to say that I passed up my favourite apple pie from the maritimes. Pretty much a staple around here, although Mrs. FSB doesn’t partake. It’s one more step in my weight loss program, She felt bad for me because it’s one of my vices, went back to get it and, with a big lip, I asked her to put it back which she did. Later I turned down buying my usual six loaves of my favourite cinnamon bread, and instead I bought stuff to make my lime spinach salad. I threw in a diced apple. Well, I guess that’s a start. Too bad the things enjoyed are often the first things to go.
I can do it, I can do it, I can do it.

I’m sure you could. No matter what design, most are pretty easy to make unless you get funky.

I’m with you on having the space. In the studios we had risers that were modular and folded. They were very strong. We also had round ones, but they were less portable. No matter how you look at it, they’re pretty heavy in most cases.

The big advantage to not having a riser or stage is you can’t fall off. However, when you get that fame, you’ll want one to help keep the fans away. Rabid dogs work too.

You CAN do it, FSB, and I'm proud of you! You know, it's one day at a time with this sort of thing. You got this.

Thanks, for the encouragement, Marky. I have a lot of great inspiration here in the Forum. Winter presents a few hazards for me, but compared to the past year that kept me down till August, I’m ready to tackle it head on one day at a time as you said. A long road trip will be interesting if and when that occurs. Glenn eats light jello, and when it comes to weight loss I think Paul must hold the record to set the standard, and he wears a toque too. So I’m motivated as many here in the Forum are.

Maybe, a few Stratocaster bench presses will help. :P

I’m going to the rotten Apple store today. I want to confirm if it’s a Fender Forum issue, iPhoneX issue, or iOS 12 update issue or . . .

Everything in Fender Forum works as usual with the older iPhone 5s and it’s iOS 12 update. Not so with this first version iPhone X which worked before the iOS 12 update.

First off let me say clearing the cache/data, etc. does not change things.

Turning the X phone to landscape from portrait results in a (php?) crash alert after it says, “The wepage was reloaded because a problem occurred”.

A crash at this point is intermittent, but more often than not.

After attempting to directly work with POST A REPLY text in landscape, one sample (similar to others) shows at the top of a blank page a Fender logo beside Webpage Crashed. Below that on the same blank page this appeared:

A problem repeatedly occurred on “https//forums.fender.com/posting.php?mode=reply&f=2&t=19650”.
(Note: At other times the number such as 19650 may be something else, which in my case showed as 24721 while using landscape to post on Fender’s Lounge YouTube thread)

It can happen when texting a portrait reply before posting if the phone is turned or tIlted towards landscape. Also, any intentional or inadvertent tilt could crash or remove post a reply text on the viewing page. This requires a redo. This is not the undo feature and only happens with Fender from my experience. YMMV

Or on a portrait posted YouTube running or static video the page may or may not crash when going to landscape before or after running it.

Also, if a portrait page does flip correctly to landscape (with or without video insert) a swipe up to scroll can lose the page with an error alert. In fact, swiping the Forum does seem to be a problem in landscape per se.

Very disturbing, but this only appears on my iPhone X, not the other phone, nor the iPad. So far it’s only happened with Fender’s Forum.

I’ll try to narrow it down a little more if I can get Apple to do their part.
That’s the basic problem AFAIK.

Working in portrait seems okay overall; but, with the mobile site, it can, at times, be a little awkward in that mode as you all know.

Has anyone else run into this?

Brad?

I’m werkin’ on it. I’m werkin’ on it. :P

Sorry you're having this problem, my friend. I know nothing about Apple products so I can't offer you help, but I'm sure you'll figure it out.

I’m werkin’ on it. I’m werkin’ on it. :P

Update:
Got to the Snapple Store and we dissected the above problem. We discovered:

1) That it affects what appears to be only iPhone X (not just mine).

2) That it could be an incompatibility related to the mobility website on how it relates to iPhone X and/or iOS 12.

3) That it could be iOS 12 related to which I’m told to expect a common update soon after this recent initial release.

4) Both iPhone X’s OS and the website solution are related at this time.

*Note: My phone and several others tested and performed the same with similar errors. Hardware and software were scanned by Apple for any oddities or Gremlins. All related data was freed up from anything that may compromise the testing.
Now ya know.

I'm doing laundry, and since it's been pouring rain outside, I'll have to go to the gym to workout. Well, that's what it's there for.

I’m going to exercise with yard work. That dinky little patch of grass I had for my old Townhouse would come in handy today.

Good job, FSB. Yard work is good exercise. :)
I'm going to do some fine tuning on my new Strat and then play, play, play! The action is higher than when I first got it. It's probably from adjusting to the temperature and humidity in my house.

I betcha that new Strat sounds sweet, Marky. Oh, and the one similar to yours in the contest I entered, the one we talked about. Woooosh! It passed me by this week like the one before that, and the one before that, and . . . Ah, fuggedabout it.
There’s only one Marky. :P
Cheers!
