C'est la vie. C'est amusant. (It's life. It's funny.) That's an interesting saying. True too.

You don't have to think about reincarnation yet. You've another 25 years to go, at least. Just think how much you can get done in that time. I was getting pretty down because of my hand tremor. It totally messed up my playing and I thought my playing days were over. Then, my neurologist increased my tremor med by 50% and sent me to a hand specialist. I've been doing speed and strengthening exercises on my guitar and working through the pain and burning. Now, I have less tremor, pain and burning but, most of all, I have more hope. I'm just saying you never know how well things might turn out even if they seem gloomy.

I don’t know about living to 95. If I live that long I’ll have more wrinkles and mojo than a Mississippi blues man, and I’ll have that E chord down perfectly.

That’s great news about your condition making improvement, Marky. That’s really something. I know how creative juices stifled or lacking direction or ability can be a downer. It’s like climbing a mountain where you accomplish making it halfway only to slide down, having the top in sight but being stuck at the bottom, having to climb halfway again, but finding that last leg the toughest. Still, halfway is a beautiful thing. In fact just being there is refreshing. The guitar can do that to you. Good therapy anyway you look at it.

Keep it up, Marky. The old adage “When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.” Works for me and I know it will work for you.

Play on and make it your own, my friend.

Thanks, FSB. Your encouragement goes a long way. :) We just got home from running errands and it's time for some dinner and then it's Strat time. 8)

Went for an early morning walk. It looks like fall might be finally coming around here, weather-wise.

Right now I’m celebrating. This morning my cardiologist put me through a pretty extensive stress test wired like an astronaut. It was the first test a month after the OR. Whoo hoo! I aced it! :D
In order to get up to speed for the treadmill I took PaulLF’s cue to walk. So there I was walking the neighbourhood mall with major manufacturers clearance to the left and right of me. Mrs. FSB and I walked in and out of stores, and left with several shopping bags in hand. You didn’t warn me about those hazards, Paul. Now I have to find a different route to walk. I suggested the music store, but that didn’t go anywhere.

Good news about your test! 8) Yeah, that can be a hazard about walking around, especially the ice cream shops. That's OK, that's what the hills are for, to burn that crap off. :P I'm one of those weirdos that actually likes to go shopping, though. Especially, since I can actually fit into clothes now that aren't considered to be plus size. I used to hate going shopping because of that. A music shop would be a cool addition to walk by, albeit bad for GAS. :P

Running a few days late, but I'm reflecting on the Sept. 18, 1970 passing of the Master, James Marshall Hendrix! Long Live The King!!!

I've got my practice/hand exercise program set up and I'll follow that by playing a few songs, as soon as my son gets up.

 That laugh made my day, and thanks, Paul.

I’m being dragged off since yesterday I said to the better half, “I really have to get serious about getting fit (as the doc instructed without signing me up for a refit centre because I convinced him I would follow orders)”. “Tomorrow we’ll go walking again”, said I. Well, tomorrow has come and now when I want to relax I get a tug to go walking. Guess where it was suggested to be. Yup! Another shopping mall. Well, I got that changed to Home Depot. That way if there are any shopping bags it’ll be Man stuff. :P
FSB

Maybe I’ll pick up ice cream on the way back. Thanks, for the suggestion.
Dang! I just walked around the corner to the living room, and Mrs. FSB looks to be getting ready for the mall. It’s only two blocks away. The furniture store is four blocks away and Home Depot is a twenty minute drive, My odds are dwindling, although ice cream is closer.

Home Depot is it's own country, I think, or at least it's as friggin' big as one. :P I will say, when ever I go into there and smell the lumber, I have the overwhelming urge to want to build something, like a stage or a deck, even though I've pretty much never have done that in my entire life. Not really, anyway.

Guess what gang. I made it through the day without mall shopping. Yahoo!
Got to HD and the other hardware box store across from it. Picked up the info I wanted, and I got away lucky by window shopping the goodies. :D
I had a great time, walked both stores from end to end and in between, but with all the stopping to gawk I think I need to find someplace like a mall to do that fast walkin’ exercise stuff. Nope, nope, nope.
Maybe a fast walk to the store to get some jelly beans.

I think you should build a stage, Paul.
This’ll get ya started: :P

I'm going to go for a long walk, do some grocery shopping, then jam out on the bass for awhile. That's the plan, anyway.
