My German Shepherds are a male and a female from the same litter and are now 3yo. When they were 2yo, they were separated for 3 days and neither one of them ate one bite of food until they were reunited. When they saw each other again, they went nuts jumping on each other and barking. When they settled down, they both ate like crazy and then laid down together with the male's head resting on the female's side. I truly believe they are capable of loving.

That’s a great story, Marky. I was a single dog owner, and I too believe, and there are many examples, that dog’s are very sensitive to emotion such as loving, they are incredible animals. Some are emotional to music too. Like other animals, cats no doubt can show emotion, but they are less multi-faceted than a dog, and while curling up for warmth and purring may give that loving impression, I’ve seen and heard that on a hot sidewalk in my backyard, so reading cats is overall more difficult even though they have their own character which helps to define them.

My father had a 17 year old albino shepherd. In my mother’s family there were 6 kids and each had their own dog at one time. I have no idea how that worked out, However, other animals can gather in groups and get along well with the odd move to be the kahuna, so I assume it is the same with domesticated dogs.

The only time my dog didn’t eat was when we discovered that my little brother had been giving him ketchup in his bowl when we weren’t looking. Consequently, Skipper expected it.

As much as I would like another one (Rusty, the metal one in the yard ain’t cutting it), we don’t have a dog . . . so my wife takes me for a walk. :P

Checking email, then I'm probably going to go for a walk at some point. It looks like a nice day, today.

 I like cats too and they do show affection, in their own way. We had one that would run to the door, when she heard the garage door go up, and wait for me on the top of my recliner. When I opened the door, she would be standing there purring like crazy. She was a great cat.

Right now I'm impatiently waiting for my son to wake up so I can crank up my new Strat!

I think I'll do that. Heck it's 1:30pm here and I'm almost ready for my nap. :)

I'm reading about Glenn getting some chocolate pudding. :( I guess I can look at the bright side if there's any bright side to not having any. I don't have any shirt stains or chocolate on my chin where I can't reach it with my tongue. :P

Going to go for a walk at some point, then do some shopping. Pinkberry frozen yogurt keeps reeling us back in there with their buy one, get one 50% off coupons that are added to the receipts, so we'll go there one last time before the end of the summer season. See how they do? :P

Looks like the dairy industry knew we were coming, Paul. A similar deal got to us yesterday, sadly we bought two boxes of ice cream bars, double chocolate and double cherry truffle chocolate. I got the last box of the cherry ones so I don't feel bad knowing others will have chubby cheeks. Walk off a few pounds for me, Paul. I’m a baaaaaad boy. But, boy is it fun. :P

I’m sitting here watching my wife walk in from a special trip to the store to bring me (unannounced) my favourite out of town bakery cinnamon bread. I guess I’ve been good. :P I hope so or I’m in a heap of trouble with online or mall shopping.

Wow, between that, and the ice cream sandwiches, I'd say you're doing pretty good in the sweet tooth department. :P I wouldn't mind some cinnamon rolls, myself. Those evil bastards! :P
