Happy daughter, happy dog. That’s always a good thing. Now the one left at home gets spoiled. Good deal for both dogs I figure (although both have some getting used to the changes I’m guessing). My bets are Mr. and Mrs. Nylon are also having to get used to the changes.

Steppin’ up from yesterday’s lamb dog and oatmeal cookies.

Apple, green grapes, red onion, scrambled egg with Tex Mex, spinach, salt & pepper, cole slaw dressing mixed with lime juice, toss in shaved almonds, and top with shredded Parmesan or what have you. That’s the salad, to go with the broccoli and cheese soup, and a turkey/dressing sammie.
I ‘ll probably pass on the dessert options; but I’ve been known to change my mind.

One thing I have to do is scale back on the amounts of food we prepare, for just two, in place of three. We will get another small dog to get along with Apollo.

Yep. We're doing ok. It's hard to tell if a dog misses the other dog that was here.

Yep. That’s a tough call unless it’s obvious. Some breeds show it more, and they have been known to mourn after the passing of their master, even locating and mourning at graveside. They may even die from their loss.

I’m guessing older dogs may not be as receptive to a new addition, but I suppose the reverse could be true too. The gender of the matchup could also affect the pairing up. Probably a better chance of success is with pairing dogs from the same litter. Too bad you couldn’t rent one for a few days to try out the compatibility.
