Whaaaaaaat? That young sprout beat you? We gotta get you in shape for the next round. First rule of thumb-CHEAT! Second rule of thumb-Distraction! Third rule of thumb- Bribery!

If that doesn't work do what my father-in-law did at the snooker table. Just when I was about to win (which against him was seldom/never) for some uncanny reason he figured out how to stall so the overhead table light would shut off without another quarter hitting the change slot at which time he would hang up his stick and call the game so I would lose.
You have to find a stick (excuse) of your own, so you'll always win. Hahahaha! :P

My strategy is to get him on my team. He has 15 Prestiges and is too fast and accurate.

I'm going to the grocery store in a bit. Going to have to see if there are any decent spare ribs.

I'm waiting a little bit for the temp to go down (it's pretty hot out, right now) and I'll go for a big walk. Then I'll plug in the violin bass into the Fender and crank it up for awhile, I think.

Chilling out for a little bit, after getting back from my walk. I got a little cooked out there, but I put in some serious mileage. I'm going to jam a bit on the violin bass soon.

We have the dogs in one of the most quiet rooms of the house, so they don't hear the fireworks outside to well. Both of them don't like the fireworks.

Went for a walk and watched some fireworks on the harbor, and got some soft serve ice cream. I also changed out the strings on the Ibanez to the Dunlop flats that I had ordered. I haven't had a chance to play them extensively, but they seem like they're a pretty nice set . Dunlop usually makes good stuff, I think, anyway. 8)

Messing about with transfers between my 6 year old cellphone and my new one. I’m not a techno geek as I once was out of choice. But, I do look at tech equipment as equipment with a purpose. Basically, tools to do another job. Like all tools they still do the same job only better with bells and whistles. They sort of remind me of those manly tool kits with a ghetto blaster on the front. Some tools can’t be improved on, and others make the job go faster.

But, dang! Sometimes, you just wish for that old tool back. Can you remember when those red LEDs lit up your phone numbers in bright sunlight? Durability? You could bounce a StarTAC and then make or receive a quality sounding call with decent reception like I had ferrying amongst hilly islands.

Oh! How about that super duper OLED screen (which I just got) that can burn in an image, run into colour degradation and fade with time, amongst other things along with it’s initial superb display (I hope it works in -40°)? Guess what! In 2000 I saw that decades old technology wrapped in a roll under a rep’s arm. He presented the future to me and others as a demo. Still, even today it’s not perfected; but, it has promise and function.

We have many phones without stereo mic’s to go with their high end or, perhaps, less than 4K video, non standard other than 16x9 image clones, less than preferred speakers and configurations, modem standards compromised, and more. Standards? How about, “Bring what you’ve got and forget what you don’t.”?

However, these new phones are still cool in many ways. My experience with mobile phones goes back to when they were the size and weight of a dumbbell. It could have had a full size camera. My new cellphone is almost (if not already) as powerful as a MacBook Pro laptop. But, when it comes to being thin, my bulky protective case will override any thinness and likely cellphone promoted cosmetic bling. I think that’s part of the manufacturers’ business plan. Make that baby look cool for sales, and then make a need for something to hide it. Good plan. IMHO
All that said, just like you can’t return a car easily after leaving the lot, I’ll jump in and take the new phone for a ride. With a larger screen for these old tired eyes. it’ll get me where I’m going until the next one comes along. A really good solid phone without an accessory case? Is that even possible today? Who cares? I have Animojis. :P YMMV

Going to go for a walk in a little while. It's been pretty friggin' humid here, but at least there's a good breeze going today. I also was playing around on the Ibanez short scale bass, getting a feel for the new Dunlop strings. I have to say, I really like these. Very smooth playing and low tension. I don't have to break them in at all. I feel bad to say it, but I think I like them even better than the Rotosounds that I've been using for a few years now. Sometimes, changing things up isn't a bad idea.

Took my year old acoustic in for a free setup. Probably best to check the neck which is adjustable (Taylor). It played good right out of the box so I didn’t think to get it done except for the fact that I have two free setups, and I thought I should use at least one especially with the current humidity changes. New 13 gauge Elixir strings will be added as they are the stock ones. Setup will be lower, and I only hope there is no buzz.

Looking forward to see, feel, and hear any improvement. :D

I'm self-developing a program/app that can "For example" connect users with their *connected "instrument" to said "Environment/Room/Studio" which in return is also the lobby for users to tweak their instruments and or speak to each other as if they were in the same room.

Currently awaiting approval from http://www.Guitar-Pro.com for use of self developed software/hardware being able to utilize one another.

This request is so that the users can all learn/edit musical sheets on screen together.

* - Via be Desktop/Laptop and or Phone.
