Well, then. That calls for a Jello celebration. I’ll bring the whipping cream.

Gotta love that Fender sound. :D

I’m reading a whole bunch of recent privacy changes emails with more to come. Europe has enforced legislation or changes with the global software/browser/apps companies and whatnot. Now disclosures have been included on this side of the pond because of it. Cool.

Except, now when you go in the front door. you might leave the back door open. Regardless, the back door will invite unannounced third party participation anyhow. Sidestepping privacy issues is now a full time job. Bring back the software stores, give me back the control, and I’m a happy camper. Yeah. Like that’s gonna happen.

There’s a whole generation ready to jump on the free train wreck, and they’re saving a seat for us. Trouble is. . . the ride is not going my way. It’s going in the opposite direction, and it’s going fast. Oh, well. In the end the free ride will come to a stop and there will be no return trip.
Gotta go. There's another privacy policy and Eula in the In box.

Remember when we could converse and exchange things without giving explicit permission and selling the farm? You don’t? Too bad. It was great.

Yes, I remember quite well. And it doesn't seem like it was that long ago. I think we reached the point of no return a long time ago. There's no going back and it's a darn shame. It's worse than that... it's utterly ridiculous!

I had to reformat my computer yesterday, which took a couple of hours, but all as well for now. I'm going to go to the gym later, since it's raining out. Maybe I might do some recording, I don't know.

Reformatting a computer is no fun but it sounds like you made good backups to restore from. Good for you!

I'm just chillin right now. :)

Reformatting your hard drive? Ouch! That’s always a PITA. for ya, Paul. As long as it works as planned it can be a relief.

In the early days when I knew less, some technical help would automatically ask to reformat my drive as a fix for everything. :? It didn’t take me long to find work arounds and proper fixes. The problem with my reformatting is either I miss something, forget something, or lose something in the works (often due to unavailability).. I’ve come to accept that reformats often come with those perils. I know most everyone has been through this.

I believe it’ll all end up on a browser or the Net in some way. There is an advantage to that; but, the downside is that changes will be dictated and it could be ugly.

I’m glad things worked out for you, Paul.

Cheers!

Speaking of rain. I hope you missed out on those terrible Northeast storms I saw on TV .

I had already backed up my file on a thumb drive, which I do update from time to time, in anticipation of anything like this. I had an issue with Microannoy (what I call Microsoft,) and their Spawn of Satan Windows 10 , and some friggin' update they came out with that was a huge problem with my system, and that was the easiest way to deal with it, not to get into any technical details about it. I've done it before, so it wasn't too much of a pain, other than waiting for it to delete everything and start over.

We had a rain storm, complete with lightning, hit here yesterday, that reminded me of a storm that would happen in Florida, more than what we'd typically get around here. Afterwards, the sky was a weird, orange color, where the sun was setting. It's been raining off and on today, but nothing too heavy. Speaking of Florida, I've heard they're supposed to get feet of rain down there, but I haven't looked at any news about weather and all of that in a while.

Great nicknames
Thanks, for the weather update, Paul. With all the weather choices, maybe, living in a climate controlled protected bubble wouldn’t be a bad idea. Sign me up. :P

That doesn't sound too bad, especially when Winter rolls around. :P

Wrapping it up for the day. Today was a good, productive day for me. I figured out all of the things that I was working on. I was on a roll. :)

Days like that make up for a lot of those other ones, huh? Funny how things work. There were times when I struggled to learn complicated gear in the studio control room because there never seemed to be enough time to digest the manual before usage. Many times the manual was not user friendly being written by a mathematician instead of someone trained in designing manuals. Transactional language, for example, plays a part. Some gear actually worked in reverse to the norm. Then, after a period of frustration, a  would go on where I would speed past others who caught on earlier. That’s called a natural high. Rock and roll some more, Marky. 8)

Meanwhile, it’s stay at home by myself day as the girls get together for a gabfest, get their nails done, and prepare for a weekend family wedding. I haven’t decided what trouble I’ll get into. I have to keep up a reputation. The wind has been knocked out of my sails so maybe I’ll just cruise today. Perhaps, I’ll make a list, and I will be sure to put music on it. :P

Well. as opportunity knocked, I discovered a slighty torn piece of foil covering holupchies made by my wife and her cousins for their after wedding day party on this coming Monday. We were given some for home consumption. We had a few earlier and that left a couple in the freezer.

There wasn’t a pin hole the other day; but, son of a gun, today there was?! Because Mrs. FSB is out for lunch with her aunt and cousins I thought it only right that I should sample two of these large morsels to make sure no one gets sick. Guess what. No one got sick! Imagine that. Those holupcies were good. Who would have guessed?
Now I’ll probably be in trouble; however, the evidence is in the dishwasher and in my tummy. When she asks what I did today, I’ll just tell her with my usual grin that I was playing ‘Buddy’ - (that’s my Strat).

This will buy me time until she serves the leftovers.

Phew! My reputation is still in good shape.
