Just got back from an all St. Louis Exotics Car Show! Nothing to humble you more than parking your 2015 Corvette Stingray next to Ferrari Enzo! Some truly beautiful sports cars from Maserati, Lamborghini, Porsche, Lotus, Mercedes, Vipers, Aston Martin, Jags, and of course Ferrari's and Corvettes. Three city blocks of some truly great machines!

I know that would be an awesome event and very cool to have your Vette amongst them. Me? I’d probably cry throughout.
Glad you had a great time.

Going to go for a walk, then plug in the Ibanez into the Fender amp, and get some rehearsing done for a track I'm recording.

Right now, I’m staying out of trouble. Totally out of character for me. I guess I’ll wait and see how long that lasts.

I took my son over to my ex's house so he could spend Mother's Day with her. We had a really nice dinner and a good time. Now it's time to wrap up a few things here and hit the hay.

Going for a walk pretty soon, then probably get dinner. I'm not sure if I'm doing anything music related today, or not. I might do some recording, or not.

I'm practicing recording and using different plugins. Man, I can't believe how complicated it is but I love a good challenge. :)

I didn’t want holes in the siding or our metal awning, so I made a custom mount to install a new automated mini flood light that shines up to 150 feet along the dark side of our house where we have a front gate. Now I can see where I was. Boy! Will the stray cats get a surprise.

Thank you.
This is putting me back in the Fender fold, with an all Bassman half stack. I'm going to the Bassman 500 to avoid possible future tube issues on the Ampeg V-4B head, that the Bassman 500 is replacing.

Getting ahead of the tube replacement sounds good to me, Mr. Nylon. :D
I inherited two vintage tube radios. One in a console and one small table Marconi. They both work, but the AM stations don’t. :x
Then the OS I’m still looking to get prides itself by offering updates every 6 months. Let’s hope the apps/programs, browsers, and whatnot can keep up or will be included.

Audio and video has digital emulating analog recording and CRTs’ image like cleaning up the blacks wherever the Enterprise ventures amongst the stars. Stereos are now using speakers the size of headphones.

From self driving and electric cars being adopted and dropped from a business plan (for all sorts of short term thinking and faux pas) to a host of other technological backtracking yet to rear it’s ugly head I gotta say it would be nice to be able to work with ease in the present rather than for the possible future. YMMV. As Marky said, it can be, but doesn’t always have to be, a challenge.

When you’re young you are given training to live in the present. Then you find the present had become the future, and then you get to prepare for things that will be proposed for tomorrow and may never be or is unsuccessful or is unpopular beyond a concept.

I have to say that I don’t miss the days when valves meant heavy cameras, awkward tube kits, monster tv monitors, and more which found their way to distant football and hockey press boxes. I did keep a large image orthicon tube from my Marconi IV camera though. Some fella at CBC managed to remove the (explosive hazard) gas from his, somehow drill a hole from end to end, and make a lamp. I was hoping to do the same. Great plans of mice and men took over.

Similar to this:

Anyone remember the LED cellphone you could read without finding some shade. :?:
As for the latest voice control by Amazon, Google, and others . . . I could walk into my home and call out “Party, Hal!” and my lights would turn on, dim, the stereo would turn on the tunes, and I could tell my shiny black monolith to place a phone call or maybe it would reply with my programmed “Sorry. I can’t do that!”. It was developed by an LA magician. All this and more was back in the early 80s - almost 5 decades ago! Mind you it cost $2000 back then. Oh, yeah! It didn’t compromise your privacy either. There’s actually no need for it. Well, not for us unless you think so.
See? I’m not the dinosaur I appear to be. :D
Whoo boy! Progress. Gotta love it. ROTFL.

There’s nothing new in television seems to be the case though. Thankfully, there’s always Perry Mason. 8)
