I'm having my morning coffee and then I'm going to work on my studio. I moved everything around yesterday so things are in their proper area. Today I'm going to finish up.

Setting up is half the work to get into the production, and I know where you’re at, Marky. It’ll be great when it’s all done though. :D Every time I get started something else seems to show up. When I worked that something else was taken care of by a great team of others so I could concentrate on the job at hand. Now days I am the team.

For the moment I’m at a dealership getting winter tires off and summer ones back on. Whether I get out of here cheaply remains to seen. It depends if something else shows up.

I had to go to Walmart after my walk (we needed something from there, anyway) to go ahead and get my self some cheap sunglasses. Oh, yeah! :P Seriously though, sans any ZZ Top references, my broke on the walk, so that is a requirement so I don't burn my eyes out with that fiery ball of fire in the sky. It's still nice to see that, after such a seemingly long winter.

I just watched tonight's CFL’s Draft picks. Lucky me, my team got to pick first. :P
Now it’s the hometown NHL playoff game with the Nashville Predators and the Winnipeg Jets playing here in the Peg’. Having worked freelance for in town Houston Aeros with Gordie Howe and their away games, I was a regular cameraman for the Jets’ original WHA team when they had Bobby Hull (a perfect match for a city known as the Chicago of the North) who won the AVCO Cup (3 out of 7 times) the most times (Houston won the next most being two) contrary to the great Gretsky’s shining admiration, and the Edmonton Oilers never having won the championship. :P I later covered the Jets’ NHL games; although, unlike Edmonton pretty much keeping their team from the WHA to the NHL, the Jets had an NHL agreement to bust up and send to other teams their championship players upon changing leagues. This team is a totally new team after a long hiatus, and Boy! they are appreciated throughout this town. :D
The Predators are a great team and both teams have terrific goalies; but, in the end it’s hockey, and it only takes one point (goal) to win.

It’s anybody’s game, but six or seven games usually decides who moves on.

The fans in Nashville get this one. A shut out! Until the last 50 seconds!? Predators win 2-1.

Series tied 2-2.

GO JETS! GO!!!

I'm going to do some recording with the new Ibanez bass. We're planning on putting out a Summer single, before putting out a new album. My girlfriend decided to put out a 9 song LP this time. The last two releases were 5 song EPs. I think I'm going to be on at least 4 of the tracks, at least. She plays bass, as well, so she'll either want to do that, or use keyboard bass, which she also plays, along with other synth parts. However, I do play all of the bass live, unless I'll happen to be on guitar, which isn't really likely, since we do have a guitarist now. I'll do that if it just happens to be me and her for a gig, and I'll do double duty, depending on the songs.

Well, it looks like you two have all the basses covered. Paul. Cool. 8)

Tonight I was looking at a different piece of wood that I’m fond of. We live in the house where my wife grew up. In the front yard we have a 35 foot white birch tree that my past mother-in-law and the rest of the family embraced like an old friend. Every few years it gets pruned. Well, unfortunately those trees do not last forever and, after checking it out tonight, we have decided, sadly, now is the time to say goodbye. It's the only birch in the neighbourhood, and the only tree in our front yard. Christmas would see coloured flood lights on it. $1000 - $2000 later there will be a big hole to fill, and some sad faces. Some people hate trees, but as a kid I climbed them. :P
Well, I’ll still have a piece of wood to hug. My Strat. :D
Cheers!

I just finished breakfast at a local Original Pancake House. Diced ham and eggs, with chocolate pancakes, and an ice tea. Getting ready to crank up the amp for a bit of playing a Jazz.

Mmm. Sounds good. I had waffles yesterday. Eggs and pancakes is pretty much standard fair when Mrs. FSB makes a loggers’ special with hash browns and toast. We have one of those Original Pancake Houses just up the street, and my father used to make a trip to ours when he came from out of town and he always took us to his pancake establishment when we visited Vancouver. I usually don’t get past our baked Giant German Apple Pancake, which was the reason for my Dad to take us here since they don’t have it everywhere, but those chocolate pancakes have yet to be tasted if they even have them here. They’re on my next order. :D

I'm going to go for a walk later, but then I think I'm going to do some more recording first.

Finished (for now) recording bass tracks. We're probably going to go out later this evening for a walk, then get dinner. I tried recording the violin bass, but it wasn't working to well, recording wise. I suspect an actual Hofner, or even an Epiphone Viola would probably do a lot better, but you can't expect a $100 knockoff to be in the same league. It does alright live, though.
