I just got in from doing some much needed pool maintenance. Nothing serious though.

I recorded the Star Wars marathon and, even though I’ve seen all but the last one, I thought it would be fun to see them in order. As it is, I’ve also got the latest Star Wars and Star Trek which I have yet to see. :D
Meanwhile, I’m eating pumpkin pie and whipping cream, and enjoying the best of Roy Orbison. No matter how often I listen to the songs I’m blown away by his vocals, songwriting, and recordings whether as a balladeer or rocker. I keep listening for a vocal breakup. No one can be that smooth. Wrong! Roy can. I’m glad I was born at a time to share his songs. He even contributed to the Traveling Wilburys. Unfortunately, he died before the second album was recorded.

I just did a long walk and now I'm trying to figure out the chords to a song that my girlfriend recorded, so I can play it live for the next gig. We got to get going with all of that, since the show is at the end of the month.

That’s why three chord songs rock. Unless you can get by with one. Even easier - acappela.

I’ve heard wearing corduroy pants helps.

Funny that you should mention that, since I do believe the song does have three chords in it, perhaps four. :P

I knew it! Many of the best songs have three or four chords. Should be a good gig, Paul. Break a leg. :D

Thanks. 8) I'm making my 10,000th post, so I can nerd out and post about it. :P Actually, I'm going to go for a walk before it starts raining again. Maybe I'll work on some music later, too.

Happy 10,000th post, Paul. I’m going to celebrate with fresh hot coffee and a rural town’s bakery cinnamon toast. Theirs is so good that I buy a 1/2 dozen loaves at a time just so I don’t run out. :P

Sounds good. I know what you mean, good bread doesn't have the longevity to remain in the house. Because, you know it's in the kitchen calling you. That's what I'm like with New York Jewish Rye, especially. :P

That sounds good, Paul. When I lived on the coast we had a lot of awesome local hippie bakeries, but on a trip to a neighbouring island we sampled some bread on an outing. It was a killer multi-grain. We found out that every few weeks the women would bring some limited loaves over to where we lived on Vancouver Island. Sometimes, we got lucky but most often not. Each loaf was over $5.00 in the 90s, but we still had to have it. It’s tragic when you get hooked. It’s like having withdrawals when your favourite food or treat is out of reach. Moving is a double edge sword. You gain some and lose some of those delectable items. On the other hand, what a rush to find a long lost favourite from a former home stocked on the shelves. I now get home style Nova Scotia apple pie from half a country away. It’s just like I had in my teens while living there. Mrs. FSB is a great baker, but this gives her a break and me a smile :D (until it’s removed from the shelves for a lesser product). :?

I'm doing laundry, then I'll probably go for a walk.

True, but sometimes that comes with hidden dangers. My wife is taking me to a mall today.

Looks like your winter hasn’t been so hot either. Better grab your toque on the way out because you never know what dangers lurk. Only that Shadow fella knows, and even he can't tell the weather accurately. :P
