Thanks for the well wishes for my wife. She was lucky to not need the full surgery to remove her gallbladder.

I had the same surgery and it was so much better than the old way of doing it. I have three small scars and they pulled my gallbladder out through my belly button. Crazy and amazing the things surgeons can do today.

I'm glad you wife is doing better!

Thanks.
My wife's one brother, and her mom had to go the full surgery route for their gallbladder removal.

I'm going to fire up the Fender Rumble in the office and do some playing, after I do my social media rounds. I'm thinking about taking the Precision Bass out of the case and put some time on it. It's been a long time since I have.

I got my 4x4 pickup out of the shop yesterday so we had to take it out for a ride in the desert. It was a beautiful day for it.

Thanks, for the photo, Marky. I think I saw a sneaky snake lurking with the Lizard.

I just wrapped up several hours of playing bass. I decided to finally plug in the Squier Precision, after not playing it for so long. I hate to say it, but even though it sounds good through the amp, my arm is aching now, since I'm so used to a short scale neck, and the lighter body. The spacing on a Precision is also a bit wider, than say a Jazz, so that added to it. It certainly is a night and day difference between the two basses.

Going out and likely shopping for a dress. Not for me !!!!

I said I’d buy a dress for Mrs. FSB for an upcoming wedding. Somehow, it now includes shoes and a purse? There goes a stomp box. Whoo boy! I learned in the Navy to never volunteer. That’ll teach me.  FSB

Just got back from a walk, and am trying to turn my schedule back around, to be up in the morning, instead of going to bed at that time. My feet didn't seem to give me any trouble, even though I still took a short walk. I think they might have healed up enough now. I just have to be careful with that, so I don't go through that again.

Glad to know that your feet are on the mend, Paul. :D

Hey, Paul. You’d be proud of me. I walked a mall several times today, and my wallet is lighter.

Yeah, but his name was Alice. :P
Mrs. FSB got her dress and shoes, but I got nailed for earrings too. Now she thinks I’m going to buy a purse for her. I probably will. I’m such a pushover. I’m not going anywhere near a coat store! :x

Just think of it as exercise and the lighter wallet is less strain carrying it around. :P

Actually, I'm one of those weirdos that likes to go shopping with my girlfriend, so that wouldn't bother me at all. About a month ago, we did a five day bender at a mall and got a good deal on a lot of clothes. Most of it is stuff for stage wear, since we're gigging. She has several times more the amount of things that I do, but she's also the front person and it's her show as a solo artist. There's also photographs and promo things like that. So with that, I've essentially became a photographer, besides a bassist. Mick Rock I'm not, but I do try. Mostly spray and pray with an iPhone and hopefully get a few decent shots out of the whole thing. :P

You’re a busy guy, Paul. Shopping sounds like a break for you. My bet is that you will do just fine with the photos. How could you not? After all, with your creativity and subject matter it's a shoe in. IMHO.
I just spent the better party of a day looking at dozens of photo storage sites available. Since my provider cancelled a perfectly simple photo/video storage solution (that held no personal invasion), and the camera companies' storage doesn't work with the Forum except with a link (likely because, understandably, they lose out on revenue among other things), I found issues with all of the optional solutions. It ran the gamut from unacceptable free claim with frivolous connection to other social sites to accusations of shared untold facial recognition of photos and data that is still in the courts after about 2 years. Anything other than that is not the greatest unless passwords and membership are passed on to visitors. Of course, for a fee, things change . . . but, some of the hazards still may exist. I even went outside Canada and the USA. It looks like you can't beat Big Brother's monopolistic journey so you might as well join it. It doesn't seem too long ago when these arrangements of ownership were discouraged. Baby Bell comes to mind. I did find out that Flickr, good or bad as it is, was the service chosen by Britain's Archives. So, that's an endorsement, I suppose. Another roll of the dice. I'm going to have to get a new set. Luck seems to be the going thing these days and my dice are wearing out. 8)
I was going to attempt a monitor/printer match with colours. I’ve been able to do this easy peasy in the past; but, upon installing new ink and new paper, something has gone askew. It doesn’t take much to waste ink testing and, as my ink series is becoming rarer, a new printer will need to replace another better built still working likable one. I did discover that, since I last bought 8” x11” photo paper in bulk, the formula for the same photo paper has changed without so much as a whisper. I’m thinking the current ink might be different too.
I might just go back to black and white photos. They have a charm of their own (IMHO), and if the photos turn out sepia or a little bluish they could still pass the test.

I no longer take a lot of pictures. It reminds me of those days when you were forced to watch relatives’ out of sequence slide shows for hours on end, probably for the third or fourth time. Besides, I think pictures are what you randomly snap away, mostly for personal appreciation. I encourage families to share a record though. A very wonderful practice me thinks.

Photographs can also be a well planned and executed art. Often their purpose is to meet a demand and to serve a targeted goal like the project Paul is on. Even with my experience, I’ll occasionally get a worthy keeper without Photoshop. Pros have known this occasional success with a gem of a photo for some time. Technique and content helps, but a little luck goes farther. The majority of their shots are regularly discarded unless they can be passed off (which we might do, but they would not). A National Geographic photographer confessed to me that he might click off 100 similar shots to ensure a good one (and that was with film)! Cheaper than traveling for a re-shoot, or being stuck with artifacts and noise when processing to fix a lesser quality shot. We've all done the messing about and, likely, do it still. Subject matter can sometimes, but not always, be an excuse to keep that mediocre shot. I have it all the time with a cringe. It's as close as my yearbook.
Don’t get me wrong. Pics are nice too, and there will always be a place for pertinent content, especially candid ones, and the fun of software manipulation, if that’s your thing. It’s just one less hobby of mine these days. Pics and selfies are done by Mrs. FSB. I’ll take the odd photograph, need be.
YMMV
Photos here are encouraged too, and there's some real good ones to be found on these Forum(s). :P

I'm doing some laundry, then going to the bank, and maybe to the gym, if it's still raining outside.

I got my violin bass plugged into the Fender Rumble and just jamming out. I'll be doing that for probably a few hours until "Walking Dead" comes on tonight, then play some more. Actually, I often play bass while I'm watching TV. I'm also debating if I want to watch any of the "Star Wars" marathon they have going on TNT. A little throwback from my childhood. :P
