Getting up at a decent time today so I can print some photos, continue some updates with plugins on my DAW, hit the learning curve on the DAW, maybe pick up the Strat for a bit, and generally good off before the predicted snowfall arrives. I might even find some apple pie from the Maritimes in the freezer. :P

In a couple of hours, we're going down to the airport to pick up our daughter returning from auditions at the Univ. of Alabama. "Roll Crimson Tide"!

Getting ready for tonight's gig. I briefly went over a couple of songs to be sure, but now the gear is packed and ready to go. I'll probably throw back a shot of bourbon to calm my nerves, but that's the extent of that before I play. I think the guy that is helping us roadie is also going to film us, which will be cool. We haven't performed live, other than that radio show we did in 2016, in a little over 6 years ago. It's about time.

Thanks guys for the encouragement for her. She actually did very well. From the way it's going now, it sounds like they want her to do her graduate degree there. Several people there were astounded by her voice, and stage presence. The kid really is that good.

Thanks, everyone. 8) Last night's gig wasn't too bad, considering it could have been a lot worse. I had one too many !@$ bottles of bourbon before I went on, not factoring in the fact all I had to eat was a can of chicken noodle soup for breakfast a few hours earlier, so that hit me a little harder than I'd like, and I did screw up a couple of times. Fortunately, no one noticed, especially my girlfriend, so I guess I got away with that. :P I'll be more careful next time with that. I like a little to calm my nerves, but I like to have my faculties together when I'm playing. This gig was kind of a low key, test the waters kind of thing, anyway. We really didn't have a lot of time to rehearse and plan things out, but I'd say we did pull it off.

No worries about the excessive bourbon. I think most of us have been there but it is a good reminder that moderation is key. I'm glad to hear you pulled it off. :)

If that was the only thing that wasn't to you're liking, you did GREAT! When something goes a bit off, and it's minor, and or not noticeable, slide on the ice. I've been back stage and heard some real, what the hell was that's at times. You even said this was one of you're gigs since the radio show two years ago. You did good man. Go For IT!
