A few hours ago, did some New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day grocery shopping. 8)

We just got back from the grocery store, and it looks like I'll be stuck inside for exercise today. It snowed a little bit yesterday, and last night, but we were able to go out yesterday, at least. It's colder, and a lot more windy today, so that's not looking good. At least the sun is out. There is a few things I could do around here, if I'm motivated to do so. If not, they'll get done in the next couple of days, anyway.

I'm getting ready to have a meatball panini from a local Corner Bakery.

Did some serious shopping and had some Chinese for dinner. I did manage to put some time in with the violin bass today, but I didn't turn on the amp, though. I've been neglecting the Precision Bass as of late. Then again, I did that when I got the Precision, with the violin bass, so things can come and go like that.

I was organizing the wardrobe racks we got the other day in what was our rehearsal room, and still have some space for the amp and to move around. Basically, we've bought a lot of clothes this past year, and ran out of room to put it. My girlfriend and I have stage wear clothes (well, her more than me, but it's her show in the first place,) and she also models, which helps promote the music career, and all of that. Plus, ever since I've lost weight, I've actually gave a crap what I look like, since I can actually fit into a lot of things now, so it's fun for me.

Great job on the weight loss, Paul. I bet your girlfriend is very proud of you.

I am making lasagna and garlic bread for dinner tonight for me and my son and then we'll watch a movie. All is well so far in 2018. :)

It looks like we'll be able to go for a walk today, and tomorrow, but apparently there's going to be some sort of blizzard on Thursday. Whoever predicted a mild winter in the Farmer's Almanac should be forced to stand outside in their skivvies for 30 minutes. :P

Last night, the TV in our bedroom died, so we're going to have to get another one. It was on it's way out with the picture tube going wonky, but it was an old one with a VCR built in from the 90's, and built in radio. I'm going to miss that thing, but luckily, we have another VCR that was in the living room that seems to be still working. They don't make them anymore, so the only way you can get them is used. I like using that instead of paying for some DVR service that you can't even keep what you record. It might be "obsolete," but it still works for me.

I’m going to second Marky’s congrats on keeping the weight off, Paul. Two thumbs up!

Sorry to hear about the TV. Fortunately there’s some good deals to be had, especially around this time of year.

Hey, I’ve got two vcrs kicking around. I’ve collected a lot of tapes of the old school cooking masters like Julia Child, Pepin, Prudhomme, Franey, Cajun chef and story teller Justin Wilson (a fave of mine), along with music related programming, some lesser seen movies, and western and adventure shows, Baseball, Football, and Boxing hero hilights, along with tapes my father had kicking around. If anything they’re nostalgic and good for a laugh. One deck is Super VHS and the Rolling Stones in 3D works with glasses I saved. DVD would be better, but video tape was the flavour of the day.

Enjoy the new TV when ya get it, Paul.

Perhaps, this is as good a place as any to add this story. I just saw it reported that Spotify has a 1.6 billion dollar lawsuit over copyright including the Doors, Tom Petty, and Neil Young.

That would be interesting news to watch. 8)

Thanks you all for the congrats. I still have at least 20 pounds to go, which seems to be going a lot slower than the last 88 I had lost, but I guess that's to be expected. I haven't been able to go for as long of walks like I've done over the summer, because it's been brutally cold, or even go out at all, but I do what I can.

We're using another old TV that was in the house that was not being used, so at least we have that for now, but eventually want to get a new flat screen. They're pretty cheap these days, anyway.

It looks like today will be the last day I'll even be able to go out until after the weekend, because we're getting a rough blizzard tomorrow. Happy happy joy joy. :P

I just saw Buffalo’s winter troubles, also a 100 car pile up because of Old Man Winter. Stay safe and warm, and keep those fingies toasty so they don’t give you any problem playing the bass, eh.

I hear that they’re running out of toques. The hosers have lots of cold beer though.

Jammed a bit on the hollow body bass, and listened to some Yardbirds. Now, I'm getting ready to call it a day.

The new year brought me something (not the flu but similar) that is keeping me inside although with all of this weather we're having I sort of don't mind

Going to have to go out and shovel some snow, especially the car, since the weather seems to have calmed down a bit. We had one hell of a storm, but at least the power is still on. Hopefully, it will stay that way.
