I never imagined all of the years that I lived in Florida, that I'd think something like 40 degrees would be considered warm, but yeah, it is, especially this time of year. :P 40 degrees would probably be considered shorts weather in Canada, I suppose. The funny thing about that, is I've seen dudes around here walking around in shorts in those temperatures. Of course, they could have been sitting all day in the local "watering holes."

I’m always amazed at the brave fashionistas who freeze their knees looking good in their skirts rather than bundle up in the cold. Funny you should mention those adventurers in shorts, Paul. They’re here too. It’s like ‘who’s got the biggest lawnmower that doesn’t work’ contest where, at the first sign of spring, some have to be the first to wear shorts, no jacket, and, perhaps, even a tee shirt. Of course, these are often the same ones who are, before taking down their outside Christmas decor, quick to set up their lawn furniture and gazebos only to see a final dump of snow cover them. It’s always great entertainment to see them repeat the show the next year.

I remember as a young kid up in Utica, NY, the first day it had that feel of cold in air. The same as when it felt like just needing to wear a sweater in stead of a parka, and pack boots.

I'm getting ready to brave the 78 degree weather, and go to the grocery store.

I’m laying on a couch in our cozy warm family/recording room reading the Forum watching/listening to Non-Stop 60s videos like Je T’aime, The Doors, The Guess Who. and more on the projector HDTV.

Earlier CNN’s weatherman said Fargo was going to be 50 below on New Year’s! Nice. 221 miles SOUTH of here! :?
I guess we’ll hunker down, crank up the tunes and the furnace, light candles, and celebrate with hot drinks and spicy food to bring in the New Year.

I like how you stroll, Mike. What’s a resolution?

I just got back from doing a 5 mile walk, and now I'm going to check the usual social media crap, then jam out on the violin bass. It was 22 degrees out, but it wasn't too bad walking once you get moving, especially up hills and stuff. At least there's no snow. That's when it's a pain in the arse to walk around in. In fact, it can stay 20 degrees for the rest of the winter, and as long as there isn't any snow, I'd take it. Just layer up when you go out.

It's about time for this old man to start getting ready to close the cave door. It's 73 degrees outside.

I am endeavouring to: find, setup accounts, download, register, license, install and activate plugins into Studio One. A simple process. So why am I pulling my hair out??? :?

I recently installed a plugin that installed correctly. However, it made a mess by moving my earlier installed plugins to another folder only to find the problem was well known after the fact. I have yet to correct it, and I may have to remove what I can, and try a reinstall. Even if it does work, and it will mean jumping through the usual hoops with licensing and security safeguards. So I know how much fun you are having, Marky.

I think it’s called the PITA aka Plug In Trouble Angst.
Nice when they work though.

Freezing my arse off, but that's winter for you. :P I'm glad I'm not in Pennsylvania, though. I heard they just got 5 feet of snow. That state is even further south than us. We did take the car out to go to the convenience store and a drive around, to warm the battery. We don't have a garage, so you have to do that, or it will kill it. It's happened to us a couple of times in the past.

Getting ready to brave the cold on a warm day of -18C/-1F. Hope I remember to unplug the car so I don’t drag the extension cord down the street. It’s good practice for when we have to drive electric cars like in the old days (that’s if the Grid holds up).
I have some bills to pay and then it’s off to see if I can get some country made cinnamon bread that I just discovered before Christmas. :D
