Stocked up on some early Christmas suckies, munchies, and nummies after doing some Christmas shopping. My favourite store today was stocked with kids toys. It’s always fun to see what cool stuff is no longer acceptable as you get older. Then again, there’s lots of cool toys for adults. Some of them are on the Fender site.

Waiting for the dog poop guy to come and clean up my backyard. He was supposed to be here at 7:30 and it's now 10:38. I guess I can understand why he is late. He's got a s@!% job.

That’s a good one, Marky. I wouldn’t rush into it either. :P

Life is one big story that is bound together from beginning to end. It is full of laughter, tears, love, adventure, mystery, and fears. But when the story is good, it’s very good, I’m glad yours is one of those, Marky.

Enjoy that amp.

Going to order me some Rotosound flatwounds for my Squier Precision Bass. I played around with the stock rounds for awhile, including recording a couple of track, but then after some debate, I decided to go back to flats, then debate some more if I wanted to try a different brand of flats (I've used Rotosound for a few years now,) but after watching a few demo videos featuring flats (including Rotosound,) I still liked the sound of those the best. Coincidentally, the test was performed on a P Bass, so that also helped out with me listing to the demo, since that's what I was looking for strings for.

I went through a ton of books today. Most are non-fiction covering all sorts of subjects from science and history to art and mobsters and just about everything in between collected by my father and me. Time flies and some I’ve read and others I haven’t. Well, the keepers are now organized beneath the records in my custom media bookcase.

I put some Michael Jackson and a Cocktail soundtrack on, dropped the books, cranked it, and hit the drums until I got my workout. Then I finished doing the books.

Now I’m set to hook up the guitars and vocal mikes tomorrow. After tearing apart and re-installing the gear I’ve come to a conclusion that a pedal board will eventually be added to keep it easy peasy. I’ve been holding off because I didn’t want to get caught up with PBAS (Pedal Board Acquired Syndrome).

It sounds like you had a nice, very productive day. Every day you get more done and soon you'll be able to kick back and enjoy it all. Seeing your plans and work come to fruition is a good feeling. Enjoy! 8)

Thanks, for the kind words, Marky. Yes, today was constructive with a little fun thrown in. My better half is good to me and my music has been in hiatus lately. She encourages my plans for my musical bucket list. Unfortunately, age and responsibilities are not my compatible friend so I’ll just have to cram a lot in. That’s okay because I’ll probably peak with my ability.
I was laughing with Mrs. FSB the other day when I explained all the rearranging was more difficult and time consuming than setting up a tv remote site. I wrote it off to a mixing and matching of current and past technology some of which doesn’t play nice together. Also, the way our cable provider has changed digital operations recently adds another screw in the works. But, all of the effort is rewarding when it does work. :D

I’m only holding off on changing the OS so the next one will be as late an improvement as I can get. That may be a mistake; but it may happen sooner than later . . . so far I’m good. I hope you (and your son) are enjoying your new amp.

Thanks, FSB. We are. Last night I played for about 30 minutes and he listened the whole time. The amp is only ok but it is more valuable to me than my better ones because it was a gift from my son. So I love it. :D

Soon I'll start getting ready to accompany my son to the audio store where he is having an Alpine 12" Type R subwoofer (1500w) and a amp (1600w) installed into his 2016 Mustang that I bought for him nearly 2 years ago. Then we have the ride home. I think I'll wear my gun range ear muffs for that.

Yep! A gifted amp is special. I installed many car stereos, reverb, tape decks, four channel, bi-amped, and more ove the years; but, it’s been a long time since I stuck my head into the newer gear. Nice to know Alpine is still out there. 1500 and 1600 Watts!? Krazy Daddio. You’ll hear that Mustang miles away before it turns the corner.
I agree you’ll have to wear hearing protection. I’m thinking a ‘Cone Of Silence’ will work.
FSB

Today the axe and PA gear get hooked up. So I’ll probably get some playing time. :D
