Watching a prototype self driving car and the race for Germany against the rest like Uber, Google, and Apple for establishing the technology.

Test car is a Tesla using Bosch in cahoots with Daimler. Tesla has a track record and I guess they don't want to crash a Mercedes.

Right now, I'm getting ready to crash after cooking all day for a friend's 70th with whom Mrs. FSB and I will celebrate with our best friends who are also celebrating an anniversary. I made a wok full of home made French Onion soup and because we have an Italian market within walking distance I made home made Italian sausage sauce to go with a heart within a heart shape pasta. Several cheeses and mushrooms will be used and Mrs. FSB's breaded veal cutlets will be the entree before cake.

I'm supposed to be retired. When I started that gig on June 30th, five years ago, I boasted that I was now on permanent vacation. Despite the fact that I've done a great deal of traveling, I still have a daily routine that gets me out of bed at 6:00 a.m. So I've been back and forth to my desk taking care of domestic issues. I feel like I did when I ran a hospital outpatient division nearly 40 years ago. But I didn't own 6 Strats, a Les Paul, a Bass VI, and 5 amps back then. I guess there's a plus in there somewhere.

I've been kind of busy going out and about the past few days, with so much so I didn't even have a chance to log on here until tonight. Today was especially busy doing various shopping trips. Hey, it's exercise, so that doesn't bother me at all.

I hear ya, SBLS. It's so much fun squinting at the phone and building calluses on your fingers while navigating the micro space available with related info off screen. I too use the phone because my PC is downstairs, and I have yet to latch onto a laptop or a tablet like Mrs. FSB. Portability is a benefit though, so these age old peepers continue to be bloodshot. Besides, who wants to miss the challenge of typing as the battery wears down.
