Did both of them come with a tortoise shell pick guard to begin with? I know Fender sometimes uses a white or black one, depending on the model and/or finish.

Month 11 of my diet: I lost another 4 pounds, and a 1/2" off my chest, for a total of 6", 1/4" off my neck, for a total of 2 1/4". The other measurements are still the same as last month.

Way to go Paul! That is outstanding. I admire your fortitude.

Congrats Paul, keep it going in the right direction!

I'm making a pot of coffee and doing my initial resistor checks in the Bronco(20)*&Super Reverb(59)*.
*=#of resistors. Yes my eyeballs are a bit wiggly.

Paul, I applaud your determination and commitment to arrive at that life change.

There are, as you well know, many weight loss plans out there; but. the success lies in attitude and gung ho confidence such as yours. You should write a book so that others could be inspired, Paul.

Never-the-less, we here have enjoyed following your journey. You may have lost weight, but you gained our admiration. Thanks, for sharing.

Thanks! 8) I have to say I was hoping I'd be a lot further along than I am by this point, but then again, I didn't gain all of that over night, and it's probably best I'm doing it the way I am. Sure, I could get even more hard core, and be more strict, but that will just wind up backfiring in the long run. Some things just take a long time to do, if you're going to do them right. It's kind of like learning to play an instrument. You just have to put your time into it if you're going to be proficient with it. There might be some short cuts or tips you can use to help, but you still have to practice, and not give up.

I'm going through the rounds online and going to walk around into the craziness of Newport in summer. It's Saturday, so I'm sure Thames Street (one of the main drags for shopping, restaurants, bars, etc.) will be quite busy.

When the 4th of July hits here, we're going to just walk from the house to down there instead of driving to the park where we usually start from, then go watch the fireworks. I seriously doubt there will be any parking, unless you got there early, which we wouldn't and it would just be easier to go on foot instead of dealing with traffic. We've done that a bunch of times, anyway. The reason we don't just walk from the house to begin with is we often have to drive to do a few things right after the walk and it's convenient to do it that way.

Hey, Paul. I'm guessing that Newport being a seaport has fireworks on water like Victoria and Vancouver do? I just saw a photo of that beautiful location so enjoy the upcoming 4th festivities.

Yeah, they're going to launch them at Fort Adams, which is right on the harbor, by the Pell Bridge. Fort Adams is where they also have the Newport Blues and Newport Jazz Festivals, which are coming up. We're planning on going to the park that's up the road from that, but you have a great view of the water, and the fireworks.

Water? The only place I find water is at the golf course. That sounds fantastic. Enjoy! :D

Well, you do live in the desert, more or less, unless California decides to finally sink in the Pacific. :P
