We're waiting until 6:00 PM to go out for a walk, then get some Chinese takeaway and watch a new episode of "Dr. Who." I might throw in some bass time, too.

June 1st., is the 50th anniversary of the release of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".
Where did those 50 years go,............. and all the friends I had.

It's something when you think how much time has passed, it doesn't seem like it in some ways, because a lot of that music and styles have lived on and been recycled.

How have you been healing up with that?

Just finished up with breakfast and going through the rounds online before I figure what else I'm going to do. The only thing certain is a walk. My monthly weigh in is coming up in a few days.

After making a preliminary decision for re-coating the sidewalk, I found out the paint/stain recommended to me has acrylic in it. Dang! Thankfully, I read the fine minuscule print. For a moment I thought I had the answer for a somewhat maintenance free choice. Annual touchup is okay with me. A redo over time is less desirable.

While that and/or epoxy can be good for the purpose, it can be detrimental too should a repair or added coats be required. I have the good 60s mahogany veneer for custom kitchen cupboards, but over the years they were varathaned (not by me) - mistake. I wish they were natural.

Removing that concrete finish calls for a really abrasive power tool that can also do damage if the cement or application or tool isn't appropriate. After trying several strippers of various strengths and risks, dangerous acetate, and my hard scraping (over a week) got 99% of the old stuff removed. I'm not looking to do it or have it done again whether using the same or similar product with a 10 year more or less guarantee or not. Guarantees are what they are.

So the search for a better solution without acrylic, epoxy, urethane, and such goes on. Using those hard coatings in a less severe climate zone may be a different matter. It works for the Strat, but that's not walked on, or shoveled in 40 below.

Hey! I don't give up easily. :P

Really ok, just every once in a while things flare up in the area they took out the rib. The nerves are healing up. It's just a surprise when it happens.

I'm about to get ready to go out to spray the patio pavers with weed control stuff.

Waiting for the rain to clear up so I can go for a walk. We've been having a lot of that kind of weather lately.
