Checking the new acoustic and how it works with the Mustang IV. I didn't expect much as the amp is not optimized for acoustic. I'm surprised at how good the result is as long as I don't use a preset that is too funky.

Feedback from the Taylor is not out of the question at times depending on the preset, but it is controllable. That's where the noiseless N3s on the Strat shine. :D
Next time I'll try the same with just the SM57 Beta mike, mixer, and the Lexicon. After which I'll put it through a TCH VoicePlay GTX into the mixer. Lastly, I'll check it with the interface and DAW. Phew! It would be nice to just snap fingers or have another capable helper.

Hi FSB - Arth1 posted this awhile back and I've been meaning to try it but haven't gotten around to it yet. Here is the post:
"... A more neutral clean sound than through the standard presets is possible with the Mustang. Set your volume, turn it off, then hold the TAP button while turning it on. That puts it in bypass mode with no emulation running, which is suitable for acoustics."
Hope it sounds great!
Thanks, for your great tip, Marky (and Arth1). I'm assuming this is a temp setting that will return the personal presets upon shutting down and turning on again? Regardless, looks to be a good solution.

I have also made a preset at 00 with all settings minimized. So that the amp powers up with no or little noise rather that to a tweaked preset. This helps not only to have the amp default to an unwanted preset, but it is handy to be able to bring it up at will. It would be useful to have arth1's bypass clean sound as another preset should that be possible.

All in all , a pretty interesting and useful suggestion, Marky. Thanks a bunch. :D

Going to go for my walk and figure out what I'm going to do for the rest of the day when I get back.

Wow Paul you're up bright and early. I hope you enjoyed your walk. I'm waiting for my son to get up and then we are going out for breakfast and getting hair cuts.

I'm having an eggs, beans, perogies, OJ, and coffee brunch that Mrs. FSB brought me. Gawsh, I'm spoiled. :P

And now I'm deciding if I want to work in the yard or be a lazy retired old fart. I know there's some guitar practice in there somewhere.

Went for the walk and did some grocery shopping early, so we wouldn't get caught in the rain storm that's suppose to hit here. They originally said it would start around 9 AM, but it's just now beginning to rain and it's almost a quarter to 1 PM, my time. Apparently, we're going to get a lot and even a flood watch. Luckily, we live up on a hill, so at least I don't have to worry about that, too much.

That's almost an English Breakfast, there. My girlfriend made me that before, with sausage, beans, tomato, the whole bit. I think you should play guitar, unless your wife makes you go outside when the beans kick in, being the musical fruit and all of that. :P

Sometimes, I'm on a day schedule, where I get up in the morning. My favorite time to get up is around 4:30/5 AM, right before dawn before the morning craziness with people commuting or whatever. I can't do that when I'm playing shows, though. Usually wind up going to bed at that time when you do.

I'm charging my camera battery up for our daughter's graduation tomorrow. She's getting a degree in Vocal Performance.

The beans kicked in after I played. So there was no encore or applause. Up until then the gig was going pretty good. :P

Waiting for the rain to stop so I can go out for my walk. I might try and put in some playing time in, too.
