I bought some blue popcorn on the way back from my walk. It was pretty tasty, and it's blue! :P How often do you see blue food? It was raspberry and cotton candy flavored, and it wasn't sickly sweet at all.

That keeps me from decision making for a new acoustic, new amp, or a mixer. Ah, well. The year ain't over yet.

One more thing. I saw my first robin, my first dandelion, and my first mosquito today. Phew! I'm exhausted.

Buy them all. You only live once that you know about. :P
That would sure make the decisions easier, Paul; but, then I wouldn't be able to take Mrs. FSB shopping.
FSB

I suppose that would apply there, as well. :P Actually, I like going shopping, it's just not having enough money to buy things, sometimes, that sucks.
There's always lots of stuff I can still afford, but having grown up in a city with yachts in the harbour I found that there were an equal amount of things out of reach. I keep telling myself I'm used to that.
But, in reality, my travels showed me how lucky I am. When I had tough times in a changing economy I grew even more appreciative of the little things in life, and in better times I never lost that experience. Even a new harmonica has a charm of its own, and a smile on the disadvantaged is priceless.

Someone who can sing or whistle a tune versus one who can't is a gift to appreciate and share. IMHO

I'm listening to Led Zeppelin and finishing up doing the laundry. Actually, I could have did that several hours ago, but I was doing other things and that wasn't a priority.

I made a chuck roast for dinner and listening to some live Led Zeppelin. I did play my bass for a while today, plugged into the Fender amp. It was the Schecter, since I have to get the rest of them fixed, including the violin bass, now. That's a bummer, but I know someone who can help me, so at least I have that.

Now that sounds like fun, Marky. That's quite a contrast from when I used to 4x4 down logging roads on the coast. I don't know if snakes are a problem out there; but, where I lived cougars were a concern that we more or less shrugged off. There are estimated to be more than 2000 on the year long relatively mild climate island. They have been known to swim from island to island, roam the beaches, golf courses, and even find their way into town. I never saw any except for the one with a red velvet lining that I once wore as a cadet drummer. I'm sure they saw me though as there were plenty of clues that they were in the vicinity. :D

Today I'm going to kick back. The Strat got a workout yesterday, but today I'll spend R&R with my better half and make Easter egg bennies on English crumpets with Canadian Back Bacon and Hollandaise.

That video is awesome. What a beautiful and remarkable animal. We have our share of critters here but we had many more when we lived in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson. We lived 1/3 mile from Sabino Canyon which has a year-round water supply that made it very favorable to wildlife. There are cougars (mountain lions down here), javelina, deer, elk, coyotes, rattle snakes, scorpions, tarantula, and all sorts of desert critters. We've had a few rattle snakes in our yard and scorpions in the house.

Those coastal logging roads must have been a lot of fun, especially when wet. YeeHaa!

Gotta go. Have a great Easter!

You is one tough critter to deal with that at home, Marky. How do you keep from getting bit? Isn't breeding a problem?

Yup! Going down dry unmarked roads is one thing. Coming back on a soaken dirt road now muddy is another. Definitely not for your grocery store SUV.

Had to look up javelina. Holey Smoley! I spent a few years on a farm with pigs; but, these critters (they are not pigs) look to have a meaner set of choppers.
FSB

More people are killed by pigs than sharks in a given year.

Watch out for the sun spiders too, Marky.

We have those down here on the frontier (Sonoran Desert) and they're pretty ornery as well.

Tarantulas are basically harmless -- they just look mean.

A little while ago, fed the dogs their dinner. They're happy. 8)
