It's been raining and windy all day, so I had to use the elliptical machine today. Tomorrow is my weigh in and measuring day, so I'm hoping I did well this month with that.

Doing taxes :? and listening to and re-arranging my Dad's and my cassette collection with my late brother's like new programmable 3 head cassette deck. A lot of terrible obscure recordings; but, interesting never the less. The good stuff is exactly that. Good. IMHO YMMV

Earlier I listened to a podcast about mixing (including 3 track recordings). It was mentioned that all groups in the sixties were not necessarily into quality recordings like the Beatles and others. Who woulda guessed? The Stones made some awful records where even Mick's tambourine gave little leeway for the recording engineers to separate and embellish the vocal. Things like this have benefited with digital processing. But, there's a case where good planning and execution in the initial stage are the best scenario. Analog recordings like that have held up over time.

Here's someone who knows:

Hope you enjoyed the article. Sad, huh? You might enjoy reading more about the man and his studio elsewhere.

Contemplating locking up for the night, and getting ready for calling it a day.

Month 8 of my diet. I've lost 7 pounds for a total of 72 pounds. I've lost 1 1/2" off my waist for a total of 9"; 1" chest, 6" total; 1/2" knee, 5" total; 1/2" calf, 2 3/4" total. Everything else was the same as last month.

"Good for everybody?" I'm on my way, Glenn.

Hey, Paul. Fantastic. Way to go Skinny.

Right now I'm in a growly mood because Microsoft locked me out of my own hotmail account that I was trying to sync up elsewhere ya da ya da. Long story short they won't allow me access unless I give them my smart phone number for messaging and this was not pre-arranged. No other option was made available, and I need the account open because it is required to open another company's account that I need to access. They have no other option too - so far (aside from a phone call when they are available). Security is fine; but, how it is and isn't convenient is a time waster, and sometimes less than efficient IMHO. Next thing ya know in order to access an account I'll have to give up my first born. Good luck with that. There isn't one.

Could be a hack, however. No easy way to find that out either. Even the best of the best users get caught . . . especially at tax time.

Whoo boy! Time to go watch some TV and chill for the rest of the night. Can't wait till the CFL gets back on the field.

Stay safe, Stay Warm, and Stay Cool Lizards.

I just finished up watching the season finale of "The Walking Dead." So now I don't have to worry about that until next October. Our drummer has been seriously ill, so we haven't been able to get together with him. Hopefully, next weekend we'll be able to do something and get that ball rolling.

I say go for it, Paul. You have nothing to worry about. They'll probably have a pill for us mortals by then to enhance our life. Won't help me though, I'd be 105!

Eat lots of jello. That'll help.

Hey, you never know, with the advancements in medical technology and all of that. I just wonder if the forum will still be around then? Maybe we'll have a billion posts by then. :P

I do have jello. The sugar free strawberry kind. I also like jello shooters, but it's been many moons since I've had any. :P

Catching up on what my Forum friends are up to. :) I saw in a documentary that a kid who is 10 years old now has a 50/50 shot at living to 105 because of medical advances. So middle-age will be something like 70. Wow that takes financial planning to a whole new level.

I'm getting ready to feed my two guys their dinner. It doesn't take much to make them happy. When they're happy, I'm glad.

Might be a good time to get a job as a financial planner, especially to ensure a great retirement for one self.
Right now I'm doing research on reasonably priced acoustic electrics. Thought I had one until I discovered the electronics were a weak link. Really good, when they worked. Bad service if they didn't. Phooey!

Then there were good electronics, but bright tinny unplugged acoustic sounds. Okay for a Dobro.

Some had good everything, but lousy material or quality in the build. Others fit the bill except the finish and or colour. Lots to consider. I still have to try Fender's latest.

I know a few that I would definitely take, but my budget won't reach that pinnacle. I'd buy used if I found the right one, but my location is not as lucrative as the bigger markets. I could, I suppose, wait until I make it back to the coast for a trip. But, that would take some time. So the hunt goes on.

I am not in a hurry. It has become a pastime hoping the right acoustic comes along. Fortunately guitars are like boats. There are plenty out there and, even though my choice for boats is huge, my chances at this late stage are more than small. Think I'll stick with the guitar. :P
