Today was my 14th anniversary with my girlfriend. I made dinner tonight, cooking some rib eye steaks and pretty much had a low key evening. It's been raining all day, but we also managed to go for our walk, as well.

Thanks! 8) It's kind of strange when you're together with someone that long that there was a time when you weren't, or with someone else. It's like it's another lifetime ago, especially when you're really close like we are.

Belated Happy Anniversary you two. I know what you mean about a long relationship when it becomes like it was never any other way. In a few months it will be 49 years in this relationship, and it keeps getting better. So tonight we also had steak and wine. Why stop at 14 years? It tastes better every year, Paul. Wishing you both many more to come.

I'm sitting here waiting waiting for the Extra Strength Tylenol to kick in. I was't hurting till I went to the doctor. Can't win some days I guess.

That sucks, Glenn. I hope the pain has taken a hike for ya. Time to make some raspberry jello.
Instead of ingesting fluoride infested City water which has a movement to omit it, I'm on my way out to carry some new bottled water for Mrs. FSB. The older ya get the heavier it gets.

I'm going to go for a walk in the evening and I might have a pizza for dinner tonight.

Funny how it hurts somewhat all over at times, but I can really feel where my 5th rib was. That's a go on the raspberry Jello. Raspberry Fields Forever? NAHHHHH,..............

Thanks! For some reason, I didn't see you post this when I checked in earlier. I think I wasn't fully awake, yet. :P I'm having one of those low energy days where I could have gone to bed a few hours ago. Still, I managed to walk 4 1/2 miles today. I'd like to make it to 49 years with her, if I live that long. I was 31 when I met her, so that would make me 80 years old. Another 35 years from now. I don't want to think about that, because that will get depressing, thinking about mortality and all of that.

I say go for it, Paul. You have nothing to worry about. They'll probably have a pill for us mortals by then to enhance our life. Won't help me though, I'd be 105!

Eat lots of jello. That'll help.

I just watched a YouTube video of Britain's largest Royal Navy ship ever - the ultra modern HMS Queen Elizabeth (launched 2014). Very cool.

Hey, you never know, with the advancements in medical technology and all of that. I just wonder if the forum will still be around then? Maybe we'll have a billion posts by then. :P

I do have jello. The sugar free strawberry kind. I also like jello shooters, but it's been many moons since I've had any. :P

Congrats, Paul!

Feel better, Glenn.

I stripped my old home-made pedalboard down to nothing (even the velcro) and I'm rebuilding it, including touching up the paint as it is starting to look a little roadworn.
Those who know me know I'm not much into the relic look.
Gonna do a complete changeup and reorganization to incorporate some new pedals I acquired in the past several months and remove a couple of pedals I've been using that were just a bit on the noisy side.

I've been putting off a couple of projects, one of which I hope to get to soon, that being an amp build.
One that I might not even start is a new pedalboard.
I had a custom board made by New York Cases a few months ago but when I look at the size of it, it seems a bit large.
I ordered it large to fit a whole bunch of pedals so I could have pretty much any sound I wanted but I'm kinda thinking I overshot a little.
Not sure what I'm gonna do about that.

On the old board, my Mesa ThrottleBox and my Keeley Compressor are both getting punted because I use them very rarely and I've found I can't seem to live without my Fulltone SupaTrem, which pretty much takes up the space of two pedals.
The ThrottleBox in particular, although useful, is quite noisy.
The Keeley is a little quieter than a lot of compressors but they're all at least a little noisy.
It will go into stasis for when and if I build the bigger board.
With the switcher I bought for that board a noisy pedal wont be as much of a problem because I'll be able to kill the noise with a single toe tap.
I've been kinda tossing around the notion that if I do build this big board I might dedicate it to one amp, that being my Boogie RK.
Does anybody here ever do that?
Have a board that they only use with one amp?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
