Hi Rollie - So sorry to hear that. Sending good vibes your way. Get well soon and stay strong.

A true connoisseur, Paul. As a kid, we used to wait for a bus on the way to school, outside of a well known English (actually Canadian) fish and chip shop. We then read funny papers wrapped in a cone stuffed with fish and chips to eat on our bus trip. The drivers were good about it in those days. Gosh, I miss those funny papers. :D

I've never had fish and chips like that. I wonder if they still do that or not? I've been to an English pub many moons ago, when I lived in Florida and had fish and chips, but they were on a plate. Of course, pints were a necessity, too. :P

I'm getting ready to go for my walk. We're seriously thinking about moving out of Newport and closer to were our drummer lives, plus it's closer to NYC, where a lot of the action is for music, at least. He seems totally committed and enthused by what we are doing, so that's a good sign. We decided to jam with him once before we totally decide, to make sure, but it does look like it's a go. Of course, there's other factors involved before being able to even get the place we want to go, so nothing is concrete, yet. I'm use to dealing with roadblocks in the way popping up, so I won't say it's 100% definite, but it's an idea in motion. Sometimes, you got to go where the music is, and that means moving. I did it before when I left Florida, so it's nothing new for me. I'll admit, I'll miss this place, but the music calls. It's who I am and what I do.

Feeling glad for Glenn, BigV1957, and others in the Forum, and wondering how SBLS is making out with his stroke.

So much music to play, and so many Lizards on the sidelines waiting to get back to business. That would be one H of a band if we could get them all together for a gig. It'll be a great day when their present troubles are history, and those lonely guitars get back to work. Till then chilling is recommended.

Enjoy the day to make my dull one brighter. :D

It appears that you have a good mix for the band, Paul. Well, I needn't tell you that Newport to NYC is a big change. I know what it is to move having lived from coast to coast and everywhere in between since my childhood. Lots of good and bad things about each place. However, you know what they say about business - location, location, location. So, I wish you the best whichever you choose. Following your bliss usually is a good path to take YMMV.

A bit of advice though. You can't trust a drummer - I are one and should know. :P
You can't trust guitar players either - I are one of those too.

I'm planning on getting "Electric Lady", my Am. Std. Jazz, out of her case on Monday. Time to "let the sounds take you away",..........

I'm not moving to NYC. Can't afford to live there unless I was a Wall Street lawyer, but not too far from there. I'm thinking I should move to Canada, even though I don't have a passport. I'll just say I refuse to except your sovereignty as an actual country, so I don't need one. You think that would work? I'll bet no one has ever said that to the border guards before. :P

Just tried some Tate's White Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut cookies. Pretty f'n good. If you can get these in your neck of the woods (or just buy them online https://www.tatesbakeshop.com/) I do recommend them. Try not to eat the whole bag, though. :P

Thank you FSB, Marky, Mr Nylon, Matt, Paul. Got released a few hours ago. Good to be home. I have work to do, my new primary doctor says he will help and that is a good thing that came out of this. Although I wasn't gone for that long I missed you all, lol. Thanks for being here.

Absolutely!

Take your meds and get plenty of rest, Rollie.

We had our first car show of the 2017 season today, a real nice event staged at the local Methodist church......

Pleasant weather and plenty of old friends to get reacquainted with, both people and cars. We won the judges' choice best something-or-other.

Congrats on the win. Arjay.

Good looking wheels in the photo. Thanks, for the picture. Regular car shows are run at the end of our block; but, it's too soon for that here since snow is still around. I'll see if I can get some shots posted later in the year for the Forum.

Thanks to 'global warming', winter here ended prematurely this year. It's been in the '80s all month and my home's A/C has been getting a vigorous workout.

Oops! I reread your earlier post and found that you said closer to NYC rather than in NYC. My mistake. Sorry about that, Paul.

I've heard that nearby Nova Scotia is adding many new occupants from America. I'm sure that music country would be ready, willing, and able to accept you with open arms. There's a long combined relationship with Canadians and Americans in that part of the world. As far as the border guards, well, they can be fussy at times; but, lately they've accepted all kinds of stories. Maybe, yours will work.

It's worth a try because our loonie Liberal Dollar is 25 cents (and said to soon be falling even more) cheaper than yours. Of course, you'll have more taxes and find ways you never thought of to spend your hard earned money. Then you won't even be able to visit NYC without taking out a loan. Sounds like a good thing you've got going, Paul. I wouldn't risk moving north. On the other hand once you've lived here for awhile you get used to being an underprivileged tax poor Canuck. The government's long range deficit will ensure that. We never had a Boston type tea party.
If all of this sounds delightful to you, c'mon up. We'd like to have you. That's why we don't have a wall. :P

Actually, it's not all bad. We still
buy Fenders. :D
