I know, it got down to 45 degrees two nights ago.
I've got a portable heater that you two can share to get cozy. After all, it's a warm 17 degrees here, and we're not expecting cold until later. :P Besides, I like the fashionable layered look.

It's been roughly around the same temperature around here. It's 44 degrees right now, which who'd ever think that's warm, but yeah, in comparison. :P 45 degrees is pretty cold for Florida. I know, I lived there for roughly 26 years. There's been times down there when we had the air conditioner on for Christmas. I also know about the layered look, although I've seen some dudes walk around here with shorts on. Usually, it's around where the bars are, so that might explain that a bit. :P

Doing laundry. I got some new t-shirts that I ordered online that need to be washed. I've been needing to get smaller size clothes, which isn't a bad thing.

I went for my walk, stopped by the store, because I forget a few things yesterday, and do some more laundry. Later, I'm going to watch the "Walking Dead."

Just kickin' back reading some books that I'll get rid of, and listening to an old friend of mine, Chad Allen and the Expressions (pre Guess Who). I heard he had been entertaining Seniors at their home in Vancouver, BC. That was some time ago though. In 2015 he was awarded for his contribution to Canadian music, and he is still involved in music long after singing a successful 1965 version of Shaking All Over (Englishman Johnny Kidd's 1960 song).

Strangely, the year before (1966) when I found myself working full time in the studio where Shaking All Over began for the Guess Who, I was in England being amazed by a very cool Scopitone video jukebox. Watching the colour screen, I was introduced to a film of Vince Taylor singing that song in 1965 only to learn of the Canadian version later.

If you're interested to learn more about the unique Scopitone jukebox and the associated video's listing check this (and the archive link within). I just found it
. Enjoy.

The Guess Who was a pretty killer rock band. I guess they're still around, but I think it's one of those deal with none of the original members, or maybe one or two. Great songs, though. 8)

We got a new drummer that's really good, and best of all, really enthused about playing with us. He's a real powerhouse player, so it's probably a good thing that I have that 1000 watt Orange stack. :P He also plays guitar, which is pretty cool, too. I'm looking forward to playing with him. Other than my girlfriend, who plays drums, but doesn't have a kit, I haven't played with a drummer in almost 20 years. It's been all electronics.

Glad to hear you have a good drummer. They aren't easy to come by. Outstanding.

Yeah, I know what you mean. When I was in Florida, they seemed to be as rare as rocking horse poop. :P

The Guess Who are still around. They're a household name up here. Lots of personnel changes for sure. The saving grace is that a lot of top notch talent has been associated with or spun from the band. The downside is times and direction along with distribution hurdles have taken their toll. There have been song duds (not unlike other groups that hit the top of the charts); but, some really good stuff never left Canada. The band can still draw a crowd outside the country though.

In 2016 originals Jim Kale (bass), and Garry Peterson (drummer) were with the band. Kale did, however, take time off with Rudy Sarzo of Quiet Riot and Whitesnake's Michael Devin filling in. Brian Tichy the drummer of Foreigner and Whitesnake has made brief showings at times for Garry. Whatever the case, the band has plenty of members with lengthy participation in or with the Guess Who.

Ask anyone if they worked with or knew of the Guess Who is to hear, "Which Guess Who"? or that Lennie Kravitz is not in the Guess Who. Discussing BTO is easier. 8)

Fantastic, Paul. Electronics can be okay and, before other drummers beat me to death, sometimes, but not often, better - except for the visual of a performance. Having a girlfriend is good, and having a girlfriend that plays the drums is even better. (Mrs, FSB won't let me have one, and she says it's bad. She's really good in letting me have a kit; but, I have to be the drummer which is hard with a Strat in your hands). Who knows? Maybe, there's another unexpected vocalist hiding in your band too like Collins, Fleetwood, Grohl, E or . . . :D
Break a leg you guys.

Thumbs up on raspberry jello.

Well, you could rig up some drums and play with foot pedals, while playing your Strat. Be like one of those one man band dudes. :P Besides drums, my girlfriend is actually a singer/solo artist. She also plays keys, bass, some guitar, and is also a recording engineer. We have are own pro studio set up here, as well. We wound up doing that when the guy that she use to record with became unreliable with getting in touch with to book sessions and moved to the Azores. I suspect he was up to something nefarious and left the country. It was really odd behavior. Anyway, it wound up costing about as much to get the gear as it would have to record and she already knows how to run it, so why not?

Something my girlfriend sent to me from Facebook: http://babylonbee.com/news/church-bassi ... -20-years/ I thought it was funny, being a bassist and all. :P
