Going to go for my walk, but I'm bummed out that I woke up too late to go out at dawn, right before the sun comes up. That's my favorite time to do that. You know, when the only things that are open are coffee shops and bakeries and you smell all of that going on and there's barely any traffic. I also have a feeling that winter might be ending around here. I actually went out yesterday without having to layer and just wore a sweater. There's still some hold out snow on the ground, but most of it has melted away. Still, we've gotten snow in March, so you never know about this place with the weather.

I've had pneumonia twice. When I was in the hospital a few years ago for a different problem, they gave me a pneumonia shot. I was told it is advisable for anyone over 60. I don't know how old you are but it might be worth a shot. :) I hope you are feeling better.

That sounds like a great day FSB. We're waiting for the dog poop pickup guy (we're not lazy but disabled) to come then it's off to the mall. I like to cruise around in my power wheel chair. Enjoy your day!

You know, I actually like going shopping, especially since the fact I've lost a lot of weight. It just sucks when you don't have any money to buy anything. :P

Yeah, it sucks, Paul. It sucks even more for those who have it. and then lose it.

Not to say that I advocate this, but, In my travels I've seen genuine smiles from those in poverty. That is priceless. I've seen and known many well to do individuals that are miserable. Those in the middle walk a fine line that go either way. I've had some smooth sailing and rocky times in my life (that's show business). Learning about friendship, how to cook with what's within reach, being less wasteful, learning true value, and appreciating more are some great lessons learned. I've always found that one doesn't have to look far to find simpler things to enjoy, and one may even discover new affordable finer things in life. Life certainly isn't boring. Besides, there's always fishing. :P
And then there's music in the air.

If times improve a lot or even a little it's like winning the lottery.
YMMV

Right now I'm smelling fresh ground coffee with Mrs. FSB.

Hey, Marky. I know about wheelchairs as I have one to be sold sitting under a tarp. I have to say. "Slow down! Speed kills!". How do I know this? Because the first time my buddy (Mrs. FSB's mom) tried a scooter in Costco she played Don Garlits and announced. "0kay, everybody outa the way. I'm coming." For somebody reluctant to use it, she took to the scooter so well that they became an incentive to go shopping.
Enjoy the day.

Hey FSB - I'm not sure what happened to my last post but I'm using the copy and paste here. The power wheelchair can be fun. Mine doesn't have handlebars. I use a joy stick on the right arm rest to control it. It has two electric motors and a top speed of 15mph. I can't do that safely in a mall but when I'm going down the road a bit I floor it, or in my case, I thumb it to the max.

Maybe it's time to get a radar detector or a radio. :P

Just finished up with dinner and now chilling out for the evening. I also jammed with the violin bass, earlier.

I'm getting ready to go for my walk and wearing my new jeans. It's nice to finally have some clothes that aren't way too big for me. It does make me think I'm really accomplishing something further that I did that. I'll donate my old jeans to the charity shop, since they are still in excellent condition. I didn't have them that long to where they'd get worn out. That's the thing with losing weight, you have to be careful on how much clothes you buy, because they won't fit you for very long, depending on how you progress with it.

Just getting ready to have some old Joe and some breakie. Looking forward to another great day full of new discoveries.

Hey, Paul. I can remember way back (gosh I'm ancient) when jeans, in particular Levis, new or old, could be sold to the highest bidder overseas at a ridiculous price because they were not available in some places. A lot of tourists capitalized on that. I just didn't feel right hitchhiking in my skivvies. :P

Getting ready to pick up my 4x4 pickup from the shop and have some off road fun, if I can convince someone to go with me. :D

Yeah, I've heard about that, especially during the Cold War, or towards the end of it. You know, when Gene Hackman and Matt Dillion did all of those movies. :P I was around then, albeit 30 years younger, and a teenager. Man, I guess that makes me ancient, too. :P
